This memory foam mattress is relatively firm but still has give to your body weight. I thought it wasn't firm enough but my wife thought it wasn't soft enough. We were afraid that it was going to smell of green tea. There isn't a noticeable smell. When sleeping with a partner you don't notice their movements as much as I traditionally have on a spring mattress. Not sure if it passes the "wine glass test" though. The mattress does not get hot at night although it is not cold either. Was this the best nights sleep that I ever had on a mattress? No. Was I comfortable? Yes. If I were at a hotel I'd be fine with a mattress like this. I'm just not sure if its right for me every night. I would recommend this mattress to most people unless you are particularly picky on how your mattress feels and sleeps on. Mattress comes boxed rolled up and is recommended to open within 72 hours. It takes just over a day for it to fully expand to full size.

When you receive this mattress it comes rolled up tight and the instructions say to let it expand for 3 days, I let it expand for 5 days, and it only expanded to 11 inches tall, so only and inch short but it is sold as a 12 in thick mattress. The mattress it self is very comfortable, I usually wake up pretty stiff and my lower back in a lot of pain, the first two days of use there was no difference but after the third night I woke up with no more back pain and I’ve been sleeping a lot better, took a few days to get acclimated but I haven’t had any pain since. A major plus to this mattress is sometimes I wake up and get out of bed a lot earlier than my husband and can move around and get out of bed without disturbing him because the entire mattress does not move. It is essentially a giant piece of memory foam, so there is not much give, I like that a lot but it does bother my husband a bit, that’s a bit of personal preference, it did take a day or two to get used to the non springiness of the mattress. Lastly the visual look of the mattress is beautiful, it has very straight edges compared to a traditional mattress so when you put sheets and a comforter on it the apart edges make it look very nice. Overall I love it, I no longer wake up stiff and with lower back pain, and I no longer wake up my husband when crawling out of the bed when I wake up earlier. Highly recommend.

The mattress was dumped , in the box, on my porch unannounced. The mattress had to be pried open, did not unroll and instantly expand. After a week plus it has expanded to 8-10 inches thick, not 12 and the corners are still deformed. I emailed Zinus who promptly referred me to Sam's Club online who quickly refunded my purchase. I upgraded to a Zinus 14 inch mattress, still waiting for it to be delivered.

We bought this mattress for our 14 year old daughter a few weeks ago. She is loving it and hates getting out of bed in the morning because she is so comfortable. I have laid on it a couple times and it is pretty amazing, but can't speak to a several hour long night sleep. It decompressed perfectly and quickly. I would definitely buy another one.

I really have to say I truly love the smartbase that came with this mattress it is so lightweight that I by myself was able to unpack it, put it together and take it upstairs all by myself, and this was the king size! The smart bass has these clips that click when the legs lock out and in order to get them to go back down you have to press the button on it so you know it's locked when you're using it. I have had bases similar to this before that were so heavy, and even though the king comes in two pieces, I had to have help moving it. It also breaks down and stores super flat which is so nice if you have to move furniture to paint or you have to move. It does not take up a lot of room stored. I was surprised at how small the box was that it came in when I put it together. The height of the base is 14 inches. The green tea mattress I have to say did not have a lot of offgassing like some of the other mattresses that are similar that I have purchased before from other brands. It comes with directions that tell you it needs to be opened as soon as you get it and let it rest for about 72 hours which I did, it did have a slight odor but that's to be expected for anything that's been wrapped in plastic and that is a memory foam mattress but it was definitely not bad. I could be in the room with it and be in the house without it bothering me. The smell that it did have disputed so fast I was actually really impressed with that. After getting everything set up and sleeping on it for about two weeks I noticed that my back did not hurt as much as it normally does. The mattress is probably more of a medium stiffness not overly soft and not as hard as a medium firm mattress like my previous one was. it does hug you a little bit when you are sleeping so you don't feel a lot of movement from anybody else it's in the bed. The one thing though I did notice that after having it set up for a long time and sleeping on it is that the 12 inch mattress actually measures out to be more of around 11 inches good thing to know for purchasing sheets so you do have a little bit more options in sheets than a normal 12 inch mattress.

Great mattress. Very firm. Provides great support while also cradling you in while you sleep. Definitely good value for the money. Will be looking into replacing my other mattresses with this one when we need to. Just me sure to allow the mattress to fully inflate and breathe before covering with sheets. As all foam items go there is a little bit of a chemical smell but it goes away as it airs out.

I really like this mattress. I’ve never seen experienced a memory foam that actually provides support. It’s soft and cushions your pressure points, and also provides support. Great for those who are hot sleepers! My husband who runs hot hasn’t had a single complaint since we’ve switched over. The only downside I’ve found is that the bottom doesn’t have a nonskid surface.

I purchased this mattress as a gift for my youngest daughter and her husband. They allowed it pluff up for 72 hours. My daughter texted me the first night and said it hugged her the minute she laid down. They seem to be liking the matress fairly well although it took several nights for my daughter to get used to it. They have never slept on a memory foam mattress. She also said she was having trouble not getting to close to the edge as it slowly compresses and she's afraid she'll roll off in the night. Her husband who is a big man slept like a log starting the first night of use. One suggestion my daughter made was that handles be on the sides to make it easier to carry or turn.

This Zinus 12 inch mattress topper is a great very comfortable, soft but firm at the same time. We put it in our den for extra bed for our guess specially last Thanksgiving week and this coming holiday season.I can’t believe that this just a topper. It could really be a real mattress. Same me money to tell you the truth. Highly recommend product

Had we not read the reviews prior to purchasing a mattress, we would have never chosen this one. It comes vacuum packed. Be sure you have it setting where you want it before removing the vacuum pack. It becomes its true size within seconds. Ours was ready to sleep on within the hour. We also ordered the 4" box spring that requires some assembly to go with it. Perfect height for a young child! There was no odor at all?? We love it!
