Love those white letters

I love my new T/A radials. They make a huge difference in the look for my 1967 Mustang

Great Tire Great Traction

Great tire. 2 sets. 2wd v6 SLT club cab Dakota. 255/70R15. Excellent wet and dry traction. They corner and BRAKE Well! Several emergency stops in Dallas where my other tires would have failed me. There wear somewhat quickly but 40k isn't bad for excellent traction even down to the bone. If you get 60k... that is hard rubber that won't stop you. I switched to the Rugged Terrain T/A on my Dakota now since I now need a little better offroad gravel traction.

White Wall Cleaner

I have had these tires on my off road dune buggy for 2 years now it plays in mud, sand and everything else, and to all the people who talk about the "brown" letters, they just need to learn how to clean them. I use Malco white wall cleaner and a scub brush and mine look as good as new! PS so did my 30 year old set that I took off 2 years ago.

great value

One of the best tires I have ever had. The large sidewall retains a nice ride, and with the proper air pressure this tire can grip very well for a street tire. On the 1/4 mile with the P295/50/R16 size I ran a 12.85 @105mph with a 1.8 60' in my LS1-swapped 1997 Camaro. They lasted me over 30k miles, which thoroughly surprised me considering the amount of burnouts and hard driving they endured. The white letters are classic, and the tire itself is very meaty, producing a great muscle-car look. I would highly recommend these tires. It's too bad though that the 295/50/R16 is currently "under development" right now (12/08/11), and has been for several months...When/if they produce it again I will definitely order some more.

Not happy with my 3rd set of tires

To be honest this is my 3rd set of tires on a classic car and I am not happy with them. This set seems to be a lot more noisy than previous ones

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing noise issues with your Radial T/A tires. Road noise can be influenced by vehicle setup and tire condition, so we recommend visiting an authorized tire dealer for an inspection to evaluate the tires. Raised Brown Letters

Purchased these tires to replace 15 year old Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. These are installed on a 1972 Rally Nova classic car that is shown at many car shows. These BF Goodrich Radial T/A make my classic car look horrible since the raised white letters, in a very short time, turned brown. No amount of cleaning, sanding or using harsh chemicals will make them white again. I never had this problem with the Cooper tires over a 15 year time period. They were always white and just needed cleaning with soap and water once in a while. Looks like this has been a problem for years after reading the reviews. Sounds like they may have fixed the problem now but state "all white letter tire will change color over time". Not so with my old Cooper tires. They were just as white as the day I bought them 15 years later. The only way to make the BF Goodrich tires white again is by painting the letters, which is time consuming and not a permanent fix.

Browning white letters

White letters turned brown shortly after purchase. Tried cleaning with various products, will not come to white again. Car stays in garage and goes into trailer for shows. Lately have not gone anywhere with it, too embarrassed. Looking for another tire brand.

Constantly turning brown

Bought a full set for my 1965 Mustang just about a year ago. I drive less than 500 miles a year. The car is always garaged. The tires (particularly the raised white letters) turn brown in less than a week after cleaning. Very disappointed. I would like some kind of restitution.

RWL should be RBL! Who wants Raised Brown Letter tires?

BF Goodrich has always been one of my favorite tire brands, but I guess all good things must come to an end. I purchased a new set of BFG Radial T/As for my '77 Trans Am, and even when they were first installed the letters didn't seem to look quite white. I ignored it thinking they just need a good cleaning. I cleaned them and got them looking a little whiter, and then put the car into storage. However, the next time I got the car out the letters were noticeably dingy and looked brown. As first I thought maybe it was just my eyes, or maybe I wasn't using the right product on the tires. I finally took the car to have it professionally detailed, and even they couldn't make the letters look white! Then I did a Google search and found that many other people were having the exact same issue. I took the car back to where I purchased the tires and they told me some mumbo jumbo about how this is supposed to be normal. Normal?! I know what white looks like. I also know that the letters on all the BFGs I purchased in previous years had white letters, NOT BROWN!!! They offered me 30% off a replacement set. I have less than 1000 miles on the tires I already purchased. Thanks, but no thanks. I take my money and purchase a different brand. They may not be as iconic as BFGs, but at least the letters will be white the way they're supposed to be!
