The LTX M/S2 is a veer ...

The LTX M/S2 is a veer responsive tire. It handles well in various conditions. Living in the mountains can prove challenging as the weather conditions can change at a moments notice. Snow, rain, sleet, mud all in a single day. I would not be caught dead without my Michelin's.

Pricey but worth the price

Far from cheap for a set of 6 but these tires were just what I was looking for and just what our 2003 F350 dually needed. They look great and ride even better. They run quietly on city streets and highways. They are soft enough to absorb many bumps in the road and strong enough to trust our 5th wheel to. Their 70k tread wear warrantee was a deal maker for us.

Great tire - great value

I made it to 40,000 miles on the original tires on my Ford F-150, with tires that normally don't go nearly that far. The key was proper balance, air pressure, and rotation (every 5,000 miles). Even though I nearly doubled the average miles on those tires, I knew the tire that would replace the originals would have to do better. I checked some on-line blogs and Consumer Reports. Everything seemed to point to Michelin. I have been a Michelin customer for years, so this was not a hard sell for me. I bought the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires at the end of December, so I'm going on about 9 months of testing. So far, I would absolutely buy them again. They're rugged and ride well and they have the best balance (in my opinion) of roll resistance and rubber compound. Stopping distances are not longer than with the original equipment tires and they take bumps very well. I was concerned about tread life vs. traction, but again, the balance of the mileage expectation and the ability to stop and make it confidently through a curve have not been compromised. Since no tire is impervious to road hazards, I purchased the hazard insurance. The feeling of security with this tire makes me confident in putting my family in this truck knowing I've done all I can to make it as safe as possible. I recommend this brand as well as this particular tire, and I will very likely purchase more in the future. Oh, did I mention my average MPG has gone up two tenths? That may not sound like a lot, but over the life of the vehicle, it adds up. Since I check the mileage with every gas purchase to ensure everything's working as it should, I can tell you, the numbers are accurate.

LTX MS2 on my duramax

I put LTX MS2 tires on my 2010 Chevy crew cab duramax 2x4 and the ride improved dramatically. The road noise was reduced to almost stealth mode, my truck was ten times smoother, the look of them is great and the performance is outstanding! Wet surfaces don't phase these tires even with all the power my truck has. I now have 12,000 miles on them and they still look fairly new and perform like they did since day one! I will by these tires again!

Amazing!!!

My wife was hesitant on me spending more for this tire. They were installed on her 2002 Ford Explorer with 125,000 + miles. She was totally amazed when she picked her Explorer up after the new Michelin M/S2's were installed. It drives, rides and handles like a brand new vehicle. Thank you Michelin.

Very noisy

I have had a set of four Defender LTX 245/65 R17 on my Toyota Higlander for six months, I have had many dozens of Michelin tires over the last 40 years. I have always found them to be the best tires available. Best ride, and quietest tires I have had. This last set has been very disappointing. They are the noisiest tires I have ever had.

AWESOME TIRES

These have been the absolute best tires I have ever owned. I went through a severe thunder storm and these tires had over 81k plus miles on them and they tracked perfectly,65-70mph, my truck never once lost contact with the road...NEVER! I am sold out for these tires. I just (the next day) purchased another set, which I debated due to just going through that storm the day before. Anyone looking for a really good set of tires...The Michelin LTX M/S2 hands down worth every penny.

best on road tire period

my family has used these previous series of this tire on 4 vehicles, light trucks and full size suvs. we consistently get over 70K miles and up to 100K. they wear evenly, ride quiet and smooth on the highway, and are great all around on road tires for any condition. yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. highly recommended

Great Tires

Replaced the original tires on my 2010 Ford F-150 after they wore out at 40,000 miles with these new tires. I do a lot of city and freeway driving and tow a travel trailer with my truck. After 1,200 miles, I know I made the right choice. These tires have great traction, handling and the ride is so much better than the original brand that Ford put on the truck. I am hoping to get a lot more miles with these tires. I haven't experienced any problems with the tires.

smooth ride

smooth ride, still looks almost new after 24K miles. Tires have been on an amazing ride pulling a travel trailer from New England to Fl, Ca, BC, & Alaska. Never a thought about should I drive on this REALLY rough road in Chicken, Alaska. Ready to go anytime.
