Great wet traction and very low noise!!!

I have had these tires in my 2003 Highlander Limited for about 2 weeks now and already have around 3000 miles on them as I travel the state for work. The tires have great wet traction performance (always a must in the rainy season in Florida) and are extremely quite at highway speeds. The tires I replaced had not been a noise problem to me at all, but I was surprised the difference with the LTX M/S2. These tires were competitively priced with the others I was considering but a bit higher per tire. Thus far I would say it has definitely been worth the little extra as I have been wholly impressed with this tire. From my previous Michelin experience on my wife's car I may be hard pressed to switch to another company so long as these tires hold up for the long haul.

P265/75/R16 - Full Size SUV

Hands down the best lasting, most realiable and comfortable riding tire ive ever owned. i own full size SUV's (Tahoe, Yukons) over the last 20 years. i tried the LTX/MS tires on my Tahoe and got 75K before i traded. i have had 2 sets of the LTX/MX2's on my Yukon, both set i got over 85K and never had a blown tire ( Construction Manager). i have over 300 on my 2003 GMC Yukon and just put another set of Michelins on it again. Great Tire.

A new improvement on a classic Michelin

I got 50,000 miles on my old Michelin LTX M/S tires and loved the ride and durability of the tires. When one of them got an unrepairable hole I decided to get four new ones as the exact model had been discontinued. My new LTX MS2 tires are similar and give a great ride with excellent handling and comfort for myself and family. I attribute a lot of my RX300's longevity to these tires. My father once told me that my car would never be better than the rubber I put on it. My decision to put these Michelins on for the first 50000 miles only made it easier to decide what to put on for the next 50000 miles! Thank you Michelin for making the safest and most comfortable tires for my SUV.

BEST VALUE OUT THERE

This is my second set of LTX M/S2 tires. First on Tacoma and second on 4Runner. I put 35K-40K miles/year on my vehicle and I have tried many different tires and these are the best hands down. I used to look at initial cost and after my first set of these I realized I save $$ by investing in this tire. I normally don't do reviews but I did this one because I feel that strongly about these tires. I wish we had this kind of Made in USA quality for many other consumables we have to purchase every day.

Second pair for my Silverado

Just bought my second set of LTX M/S tires for my 2002 Silverado. When I replaced the original equipment tires I tried other brands at a lower cost and was never satisfied. I drive a lot of highway miles and and some gravel roads and got 110,000 miles out of the first set. These are the best tires I've ever owned and highly recommend paying the extra price.

LTX M/S2 Disappointment

I have used the LTX M/S tires on my trucks for years. They were great in the Ohio snow and the rain as well. I recently purchased an 09 Silverado 1500 that came to me with tires that weren't Michelin. and those tires were horrible. Visited a local Michelin Dealer to obtain LTX M/S for this truck as I've been very pleased with them in the past. I was informed the LTX M/S is no longer available, that I would have to go with the LTX M/S 2. I went ahead and ordered the LTX M/S 2 and had them installed recently. Haven't yet had the experience of driving them in the snow, though I have little doubt they will be fine. Driven in rain and have the usual confidence I've experienced with the previous LTX M/S. The problem is as follows; I can't drive one mile on any road without hearing a stone strike the underside of my truck. Today is the 5th of August. It's not as though there are snow plows depositing stones on the road as they plow the shoulder. The tires I purchased are P265/65R18 112T, LTX M/S2 BW. I don't know if this is an issue related to only the size I purchased or if it's across the board. What I do know is I can't afford to purchase another brand tire this soon to alleviate the stone issue, so I guess I just turn up the radio and drive on. I will pose a question to the Customer Care Team; Why did you mothball the LTX M/S?

Tires that last

I've had my current truck now for almost 9 years. Shortly after buying the truck I had to buy tires. This was my 2nd purchase of Michelin tires. My first set of tires came when I married my wife...her truck had Michelin tires. After driving for 3 years with them (2 years before I met her) we had over 100,000 miles on our first set of Michelin's. We replaced the Michelins with a set of truck tires that only lasted around 40,000 miles. Then again another different set of tires, and these only lasted less then 40,000 miles. After that, we decided to buy Michelin's for the truck. I put over 80,000 miles and finally had to buy my current set. I always rotate my tires so that I get the most wear out of them...but these tires last so much longer than the other competitors.

Signs of dry rot with <30K miles & ~4 yrs

Came new with CPO 4Runner. In ~48 months have put on ~30K miles on them. Still not down to tread wear indicators, but significant signs of dry rot. Tire model # has recalls, but apparently mine were manufactured outside the time window for the recall. Overall, like Michelins, and have purchased on other vehicles, but disappointed in the durability of these particular tires.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY

THIS IS MY 3RD SET OF MICHELIN TIRES ON TWO DIFFERENT VEHICLES. THE LTXMS2 WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE SALESMAN FOR MY SPECIFIC NEEDS(QUIET, EXCELLENT WET TRACTION & LONG WEAR) AS I FREQUENTLY PULL A BOAT. ON OUR OLD PICKUP, THE TIRES HAD 60K PLUS ON THEM AND THEY DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THEY HAD 10K. WE NOW HAVE 2 2007 MODELS (SUV & PICKUP) AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO REPLACE THE OEM TIRES WE BOUGHT THE MS2 AND HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY SATISFIED. IT'S FUNNY TO SEE OTHER PEOPLES REACTION TO MY WIFE PULLING THE BOAT OUT OF THE WATER ON A WET RAMP WITHOUT SPINNING A TIRE WHILE OTHERS ARE SMOKING THEIR TIRES. I SOMETIMES WISH I COULD RECORD THE LOOKS ON THEIR FACES LIKE "HOW THE HECK DOES SHE DO THAT?"

Quiet and Smooth Ride

Purchased a set of 4 275/55/20 LTX M/S2 tires for our 07 Tahoe 16.5k mile ago. The OEM tires still had a decent amount of tread left, roughly 3/16" to the wear bars and the vehicle rode horrible. Finally decided to do some research and decided on the LTX tire. What a difference. A smooth and quiet ride is an understatement. OH had a few decent snowfalls of 6+ inches over the winter of 12 and not once did we have to use 4x4, whereas the winter before needed it to get out of the neighborhood in 3.5 inches of snow. Hydroplane resistance seems to be very good so far. The tires get rotated every 5k miles and all show very even, minimal wear. At the rate the are wearing, tire should last every bit of 70k advertised treadlife before they'll need to be replaced. I have recommend them to 2 friends and both choose to try them out and are very impressed as well. Highly recommend. The price I paid was very comparable to competitors.
