Hey Courtneyj,There are a few things that may help open up the foam pores and speed up the expansion process. First, foam reacts best to warmer temperatures. Because of this, we recommend setting the mattress next to a window with sunlight or next to a heater. Second, we recommend walking over the mattress with clean feet as this will open up stuck memory foam pores. Third, if the bottom portion has fully expanded, we recommend using the mattress since body heat is another source for the memory foam to expand. It will not harm the mattress in any way.
