This may occur when using Dark mode or Night mode with certain apps. To minimize flickering, ensure your device and app software are up to date. Galaxy phones utilize AMOLED displays, which individually light each pixel, allowing for clear visibility in dark areas. However, this design can lead to variations in brightness, sometimes appearing as horizontal lines, which is typical for AMOLED screens and not a defect. To reduce this effect, adjust the display settings to increase brightness, change your wallpaper to a brighter image, turn off Dark mode or Night mode, and set the Motion smoothness to Standard mode. Products sold by Samsung are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the limited 12-month warranty period specified for each product.
