It is a solid top load unit it accepts standard 5-gallon bottles as well as the 4-gallon that Sams sells. The hot-cool-cold buttons are accurate. The hot comes out hot enough to make tea or instant oatmeal, the cool is room temperature, and the cold is refrigerator cold. The cabinet in the bottom is pretty small. You can store some extra cups or supplies in it, but not much more.

Excellent dispenser. Quiet, actually silent. No humming or buzzing or anything. No leaks after a month of use. Well made. It can be used with or without electricity. The on/off switches allow you to easily turn the hot and cold on and off as you need. Water dispenses quickly. Hot water is steaming hot. It steams while dispensing and steeps a good cup of tea. Cool water is cool. Cold water is ice cold. STORAGE AREA IS NOT REFRIGERATED, and that's fine. Well packaged. Delivered when promised. Be sure to let the dispenser stand upright at least 24 hours before you plug it in, so the refrigerant settles and the unit works properly. You can use it without electricity while it settles.

We love our new water cooler and the 3 temperature settings. We've had it for a couple of months now and have been using it constantly. The cabinet below is great to store disposable cups. The hot setting gets extremely hot and is great for tea, oatmeal, soup, etc.

It's okay

We returned this machine yesterday to Sam's Club. It never did get cold and there is no place to adjust the temperature. Calls to Avalon weren't helpful and they wanted us to pay to send it to them. On the good side, love the storage area, good idea. Also love the height of the machine and the little shelf where you sit the cup to be filled. Both are good design. Our next machine, a Primo is much smaller, shorter and has no storage. We have it on a stool to make it easier to fill cups on the tiny shelf. The new machine gets the water cold and hot.
