Primacy MXM4- 2012 Acrua TL (Base)

This is my second set of Primacy MXM4's (P245/ 50R17) for my 2012 Acura TL (Base) model, which were replaced on 7-2-16. Through proper maintenance (rotation of tires between 5,000 to 6,000 miles and recommended tire pressure per manufacturer at 32 psi), I was able to obtain 63,000 miles and probably could have got another 5,000 to 7,000 miles (replaced with 4/32 " tread depth still available). My driving consist of a mixture of highway and city driving. The ride comfort and wet traction is excellent. I can't speak well on snow traction being in NC, but when snow and ice were present, the Primacy MXM4s held up well.

Great All Season Touring Tires

OEM tires on 2017 Accourd Coupe Touring and they have been GREAT. I love the manufacturer specific tire, so if you do get a set, make sure you know what you get in the event you need a replacement. These handle well in all seasons, conditions, etc. I am a spirited driver and we got 20k from the OEM set. The roads where we are are like VERY course sand paper, so all in they did and do well. This was one of the best options out there for all scenarios of driving. Sure a summer performance tire would be awesome, but there are pros/cons to that, and mainly the roads here in NM are why i chose these again. Not to mention rim guard protection and OEM look.

Safety for the Working Traveler

As a consultant I am driving across the USA in all kinds of weather with my 2012 VW Passat Diesel. The michelin tire gives me a great ride and a extra degree of safety by allowing me to change lanes quickly to avoid another driver or debris in the road. I presently have over 50K miles on my Passat and the tire still look new. The tire is exceptional and also improved my Miles per gallon of fuel to close to 50 around town and 43 on the highway at interstate speeds and above. Michelin tires are the only tires I allow my family will run on their vehicles.

poor tread life, good on everything else

Tires are above average in terms of comfort, ride quality, and traction in dry and wet conditions but suffer tremendously in tread life. Just a little over 28k miles, a bit over half the manufacture's claimed 55k life, and will be needing replacements. Still undecided if I will get these or something else

Tires run well, but wear too quickly

Got them on a new 2015 Lexus CT-200 f-series. Happy with their quiet and handling. However down to 6/64 tread at 30K check, and service advisor says I will need new tires in 2K miles. That's a LOT less milage than the claimed 55K "warranty" that no local dealer will honor (including Lexus). They were rotated every 5K miles by dealer. Use car to commute to work on freeway ~40 miles each way.

Good car, good tires

Primacy MXM4’s were factory installed and gave very good service. Very smooth and quiet, not a hint of balance or out-of-round issues (I’ve seen that). But coming from a 2WD minivan with good winter tires to a AWD SUV with new All Season tires in a major snow belt area was scarily disappointing, but nothing a new set of good winter tires couldn’t fix. Winter tires with 2WD is better than AS tires with AWD on snow covered roads with any accumulation, but winter tires & AWD for the win in really bad conditions. Changing tires every winter makes it more trouble than it’s worth to keep track of mileage on each set, but after 260K kms, I’ve used up the original set, a set of Premier LTX’S and about 66% of the winter tires. Not bad at all. Both sets have been very good. Both were very good on wet roads, with the LTX’s staying excellent right until they were down to the wear bars. And the MXM4’s become quite noisy and more slippery close to end of life, but nowhere near as bad as some others I’ve experienced. All in all, the 2 best sets of tires I’ve had. Getting a new set of MXM4’s tomorrow.

Primacy MXM4 Do Not Last

These cam OEM on my Tesla Model 3 and did not last. Fastest I ever had to replace tires. Rotated every 6250 miles per manual. Only about 30k miles and now I have to replace all 4 tires. Seems like a common issue with Tesla's. Very disappointed, usually I'm a fan of Michelin tires.

The peace of mind, excellent performance

I drive over 35,000 miles every year. Rain, snow, sunny weather. It does not matter - I have to get there. Over the past 15 years I tried different tires (mostly the ones that came on a new/used car) and I always come back to Michelin. I do not remember last time I got less then 50,000 miles on a set and never had one fail me. This weekend I am going to put another set on my Toyota Avalon. It will be 4th set on a car with 170,000 miles. Primacy MXV4 has done really well for the last 120,000 miles so there is no reason to change!

Primacy MXM4

These tires came on my car when I purchased it new. I was excited to see that it came with Michelin tires, assuming they would be better than some of the lesser-known brands that come on other new cars. To their credit, I would like to say that I live where it rains a lot and feel like they are pretty competent in wet weather. However, my car is currently at 46k and my most recent service indicated they are all at 4/32 and I will be planning to replace them this fall. We don't get significant snow, but they did not inspire confidence the last two winters. I have had several other all-seasons in the past that I've never doubted in our short and mild snowfalls, but I would not consider these an option. I am also very surprised at the tire wear as I believe these have a 90k warranty? Overall would not purchase again and will be looking into other options.

Quiet, Good Control and Long-life

Michelin tires are in my opinion and my usage over the past 10+ years (used for my sedan & SUV) the most value-for-your-money tires. Giving you a smooth rider, longer tread life and good control in nearly any environmental conditions you could encounter. The reliability gives you the peace of mind you need from a tire company you can trust.
