[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product was as described. It is made of strong metal and is sturdy once assembled. One criticism I have is the lack of adjustability in placement of the stud mounted supports. If your studs are not exactly at 8 ft you need to place a brace behind the drywall to accommodate the shelf. The assembly took about 90 minutes. There are some extra parts and pieces as there are different orientations and instillation methods. I found the instructions clear and concise. Overall it appears to be a great sturdy product. I have quite a bit of construction experience however this did not require any of it. Assembly was straight forward with easily understandable diagrams.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 2 x 8 foot shelf and installed it in my garage in Florida. The shelf is very sturdy and I have some heavy plastic tote boxes on it. Helps keep things off the floor and out of the way. The design makes it easy to load and installation was straight forward. I love my New Age cabinets and now the shelf completes my garage transformation! Excellent products! Sorry, where my shelf is made it hard to take a photo so, I took a photo of the cabinets!

Overall I am happy with the shelves, they feel well made and sturdy. I purchased Newage cabinets 3 years ago and was so happy with them I had no concerns pulling the trigger on the shelves. Some issues though. I purchased an 8ft and 4ft shelf. The 8ft kit was missing the fender washers for the cables, one of the large lag bolt washers and a cap nut. I had a lot of extra small bolts and washers though. The 4 ft shelf had no small washers at all. Luckily between the two kits and the fact I kept the extra hardware from the cabinets, I managed to get it mounted correctly. QC on the hardware needs some attention, I imagine this could be a big issue for folks that don't hoard hardware. The other issue is the 4 and 8 ft shelves have different fronts. Doesn't really bother me, but seems like an odd decision.

Overall it is a nice product very well built but in trying to assemble I found missing hardware which prevents assembly. In working with customer service I am told the replacement hardware will not be available for over a month and nothing else can be done. So I am stuck with a product partially assembled and can not do anything with it while I wait over a month for the hardware. For this reason I would consider looking at other options because of the headache of not being able to install and I am not going to take apart just to try and return.

I am very happy with this purchase. As a neat and tidy homeowner, I am delighted with this new shelf. The instructions were very clear, and installation took about an hour (by myself). I actually had fun doing this. They even sent more than enough parts, which was a nice touch. I like how clean and sturdy the shelf is, and the communication with New Age was helpful from the start to the end. Highly recommend this shelf for organizing a garage. I am sure it will hold more than I put on it, but I just don't accumulate much to begin with.

I bought this and the shelf would be strong if the studs were perfectly 16” on center. When they are no, you have no options. Zero. None. I know this isn’t NewAge’s issue but we all know that studs can be off sometimes.
