GAS Mileage drop

Usage: Mixed mostly country driving. Traction is great and noise is not bad. BUT: AFTER NXX installed 275/60/20's on a 2008 Nissan Titan LE. Mixed millage has DROPPED over 10% with the new tires. Rolling resistance feels 'sluggish' even free rolling downhill. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed.

Best tire ever

I have a 2009 Ford Escape AWD, I use the vehicle for everyday driving, I travel half city, half highway miles, I love this tire, It is great in the rain and great in dry conditions. I have only used it in light snows and it has performed well. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to friends. There is only one complaint that I have and that would be that the factory tire on my vehicle was LRR and this tire isn't and my gas mileage decreased by about 1-2 mpg.

I recently bought 4 ...

I recently bought 4 Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires (P265 75 R16) for my 1996 Chevrolet K1500 Z71 truck. My old Michelin LTX M/S tires were worn out so I decided to stick with Michelin since I got great tread wear and mileage out of my old ones. The new M/S 2 tires are outstanding! The comfort ride, no tire noise driving down the road, and the tire appearance and style is a plus. Knowing that I have Michelin tires underneath me makes me feel safe and also to my passengers. I would recommend this tire to anyone. The name Michelin says it all.

Great tire

These tires were recommenced by a friend. They wrok great on the Alaskan roads with snow and ice. They have good grip/traction and stop well. They now have approx 10,000 miles and show no signs of wear. I will be purchasing a set for my wife's truck next.

Michelin....nothing else compairs

I was thinking of trading my car in due to the road noise and unsafe ride. My wife constantly complained about it and refused to drive or ride in it. I just didn't feel comfortable with my family riding in this vehicle anymore. It was time for new tires and I decided to go with Michelin. After the tires were installed I took a short trip out of town. The ride of the vehicle was so quite and amazing that I went back home and picked up my wife for a ride. She was so impressed that before I got up this morning she had taken it to drive to work. Thanks Michelin for a great product. I will never have any other tires on my vehicles!!!

An Engineer's Perspective

A vehicle is only as good as it performs. I am humored by Truck Manufacturers (in the same case, auto manufacturers) stating how well their vehicle handles, hauls, works and performs. The vehicles engine, transmission, special packages only have value of beneficial performance ONLY if the tires are able to perform. One accident, one mishap, or one non-scheduled problem as result of poor tires more than justifies the premium cost of this product over other lesser priced competitor brands. With this tire, I believe I am buying the BEST. And suggest same to others.

LTX M/S

I am on my 3rd set of LTX M/S LTX M/S2 tires. I have a 99 GMC yukon & had other brand tires when I bought my truck. Changed tires right away & what a GREAT difference they have made in the ride & especially the overall wear of the tire. My husband has changed to the same tire on his truck. We will NEVER buy anything other than LTX M/S or the LTX M/S2, ever. Sincerely Della Puryfoy Morehead City,NC

Also disappointed

I bought a set of these tires about a year ago. They claimed this new series was far better than the previous generation. The tread wear is way over rated. I doubt this set will see the 60000 miles the previous set of LTX tires saw. Lost me as a customer.

Only tire I buy for my SUV

The reality is that most of us do not spend 99% of our time off road. Most of my time is spent on pavement, where these tires excel (handling, wet traction, braking, ride comfort), and are also more than capable for the amount of off road adventures that we normally put our SUVs through. I have put LTXs on every SUV that I have ever owned and have never been disappointed with their performance or how they literally improved the handling characteristic of my vehicle. Truck On Michelin Man!

The PERFECT SUV/Truck Tire!

This is my 6th set of Michelin LTX M/S tires on 3 different SUVs over 12 years; the last two sets have been M/S2 version. I drive a lot of miles in all conditions including 6000+ mile road trips. We're in Colorado and need performance onroad and offroad, these handle everything a stock 4Runner and Tahoe will handle in terms of 4-Wheeling forest service roads (not the nice ones either) and jeep trails. We've gone 4-Wheeling with our church's jeep club and been able to tackle everything on 'stock+' trails. Winter performance is exceptional on snow and ice conditions. Gas mileage is very good, better than comparable tires from other manufacturers. Best yet is the mileage we get out of them; on 4Runners ('96 and '03) I easily get 65,000 and just replaced my last set at 75,000 for winter driving (not yet to the wear indicators). Never had a flat, and the tires wear very evenly assuming your vehicle is well maintained. On my heavier 2002 Tahoe, the LTX M/S has worn much better than other name brand LT tires. I highly recommend to all, these are well worth the price for performance.
