Poor Treadlife

Purchased a set of 4 LTX M/S2 (P265/65R17 110T) 04-11-15 at about twice the cost of other tires. Was impressed with purported riding comfort and tread wear promise. Mileage at installation: 26680; Mileage today: 59401; Mileage on tires: 32721. Rotated every 5000 miles; tire psi checked weekly. Tires have worn evenly, but tread is gone. Would not pass state inspection (WV) if I had to have one before spring. I doubt that I can get thru the coming winter on this set. Like other reviewers, I was willing to pay more for these tires in consideration of the riding comfort and increased tire life. I got one of the two (comfort) but am extremely disappointed in the short tread life.

reply from Consumer Care

We understand the LTX M/S2 tires on your vehicle did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Fantastic preformance

Having towed the same heavy trailer for 480K miles, these are the best preformance tires for mileage, road/ride issues, and traction. Higher speed interstate driving, with sometimes more weight that is advised... This is the only tire manufacture that hangs together until the tread is gone. Oh, not quite correct, the OEM tires had no issues, but only lasted less than 30K miles. Negatives... These may cost more up front by a $10 ro $20 bill but when they last twice as long cost per mile is far less that what ever comes close. I've gone through other mfg's and one I had 14 tires replaced under road hazard, #14 did $3000 body damage to the box of the truck. They all went, replaced with LTX MS and never looked back. The big chain that was road hazarding the lesser brand asked me if I ever had Michelin, and if I had issues them. Yes I had them and never had a problem with them for roughly 70K miles. The guys comment was Michelin has very few ride issues and only build "best" tires, not good, better, and best. These LTX MS2 are not like the factory original "A/" series tires that folks around here do not like due to lack of traction. What I want for my winter selection is studable winter tires. When Michelin comes out with those I have a set of 4. When will they be out??

They areon a winnabago view. They are the best tires I ha e ever owned. They are very comfortable. I am not sure if I have the. Correct. Model number. They ha e exceeded both my expectation and the warranty. I will consider your tires for any vehicle , provided the manufacturer recommends your tires. I ALMOST NEVER GIVE a good report. Most products do not me my standards.

Smooth as silk almond milk

I put a set of these tires on my 07 Nissan Titan that rarely sees the road without a car hauler attached to it. By far the smoothest tire I have driven on to date with any of my trucks. I was sold on this tire after my father put 73,000 on a set that were installed on a one ton work truck, and only had to be balanced one time during the life of the tires. Honestly can't find one negative thing to say about them!

Buy it, you'll like it.

I have a Dodge Ram 2500 with a diesel and carry 1000lbs + in tools everyday all day. I put on 25,000-30,000 miles a year. Pull a 13,000 boat and trailer to the lake all most every weekend in the summer from Memorial day to sometimes the middle of October. The tread warranty is 70,000 miles. I got 83,000 on the last set. Winter and summer they work great. In Michigan we get it all. Incredible. Worth the extra money. Rotate as recomended and keep front end tight and alined.

I put the LTX M/S2 on my ford f150. That was the best thing I could have done. The tire did more than what i was expecting and the ride was unbelievable. I highly recommend this tire to anyone that is looking a good set of tires. I dont have anything negative to say about the Michelin Tire. My mother and father are putting tires on both of their vehicles. If and when I wear them out I will be going back to the same tire.

Bought them again

Have been buying Michelin tires for my autos, trucks & motorhome since 1974. Never a quality or wear problem and always pleased with the long wear of the tires. When someone says "those tires cost a lot" I reply "my family is worth much more than what great tires cost"

Great SUV Tire

I recently bought the LTX M/S2 265/70/17 for my full size SUV. So far, there are about 5K miles on it and I love it. This is a great tire if you are looking for a quite, smooth, comfortable ride. One of the reasons I purchased this tire is the mileage warranty from Michelin. Along with that, I read several reviews of people who bought this same tire and it lasted way past the warranty, some as much as 120K miles! I am confident I will continue to be happy with my Michelin tire purchase as they are the best SUV/Truck tires on the road.

GMC Yukon experience

This is my second set of Michelins amongst many other tires throughout the years. For the additioanl money Michelins cost, the business cost is well worth the money form the extra miles to the added safety of the tires. The great looks are a side benefit. The stopping distance and wet weather adherence meet expecations and these tires have always met what I have thrown out them on a commuter vehicle; not much if any off road experience. I would definetly and well intend to never purchase anything other than a michelin tire into the future...as long as they keep up the good work and do not stray from a high quality product.

Better than advertised!

These tires on on my Dodge Dakota 2WD. I love in the north east and they are by far the best m&s tire I have ever purchased. Great on wet roads great in the snow. They have now been on this vehicle for three years and the tread is like new. You just can't be Michelin.
