Michelin Tires

Lot of highway miles kids play sports. I have a older vehicle but the rides is still smooth, great gas mileage on the highway. I try to save money and bought less expensive tire, no comparision to Michelin Tires. I will always buy Michelin Tires for my vehicles.

10 Ply

If you are looking for a workhorse of a tire look no further than Michelin 10-ply. 3 hour ride to work, 12 hours on mountains of Southwest Virginia in coal fields and then another 3 hours home. I have a 2006 Ford F150 with 500,000+ miles on it and I won't use any other tire. I also have a 1998 GMC 2500 and 2005 Ford F150, they all have these Michelin 10 ply. Heavy snow, pouring rain, bumpy rock roads and slick dirt roads do not slow these tires down.... I bought a complete set on August 22th - and another complete set on Sept 20th - I'm just a little aggrevated that I missed the rebate by 3 days on my first order. You would think that the salesman would have suggested for me to wait a couple of days because there was going to be a rebate offer ESPECIALLY since I told him I was going to ordering another complete set but that has nothing to do with these awesome tires..

Over 50 years with Michelin tires

I have been buying and using Michelin tires for over 50 years because I feel safe driving my vehicle at interstate highway speeds with Michelin tires. I have never had a problem with Michelin tires. The tires do not make noise when driving down the highway and I like that. My next set of tires will be Michelin.

Not worth the money

The tires do not do well in the gas mileages category I lost about 2.5 mpg on average. I must say I found them to be excellent in the snow, over all for the money I can't say I would recommend them for year around use. Mileage ware clams are yet to be determined as they have only about 5k on the set

Excellent Truck/SUV tires

This is my second set of Michelins for my Sequoia Platinum 4x4 and I don't think I will stop buying these tires any time soon so please don't ever discontinue them. I put my truck through a lot and these tires have never given up on me. I tow heavy trailers and boats. I go off-roading in the mud, lots of road trips. These tires are great at everything they do. I have yet to try them in the snow, but I bet they will be fine. These tires are quality tires that last a long time, I've got 34k miles on them now and they still have probably more than 50% life in it left. These tires are super comfortable, nice a quiet on the highway and have terrific traction on dry or wet grounds. I have been recommending these tires to all my friends with SUVs and trucks. Bear in mind that these are not Mud tires strictly for off-road purposes, there are much better tires than that, but the occasional fun in the mud wont stop these tires.

Best Tire Ever!!!

I drive alot on the Highway and this tire drives excellent on the road. a very smooth drive and I've taken driven in snow and dirt and it handles really good also. I really can't say that there is anything wrong with this tire as I would definitely buy this tire set again. I've had other brands of tires and frankly this tire surpasses the rest!!

LTX M/S2

I have had many other tires over the course of years of driveing but the Michelin tires are standing out above the crowd. Bought my first set of Michelins a few years ago for my wifes 2007 BMW X3. I had always considered Michelin but price kept pushing me to other brands. The difference in handling, comfort, traction, and longevity changed my mind and I am sold on Michelin now. My most recent purchase was the LTX M/S2 for my Explorer Sport Trac. The truck is now performing outstanding in all circumstances and I expect them to last a long, long while.

My first impresion was ...

My first impresion was the Quitness of the tire, reduced road noise, Smother ride & better braking/handling on the road. Initial ballancing required less weights, Overall a trully spectacular tire. Most of all was the increase of approximatly 1&1/2 miles per gallon on a 6000 mile Journey from Ga to Ca.& Wy. this is a Pleasureway M/H built on a Ford E-350 Super Van Chasis GVW 9800lbs.

Almost perfect

I replaced the original Michelin LTX M/S tires (66,000 miles) with these M/S 2 tires. I was very happy with the originals. I towed our trailer for over 15,000 miles, and still had some tread after 66,000 miles, so I stuck with the improved version. I also added 1" of tread width, and 1" of diameter (replaced 245 65 R17 with 265 65 R17). These tires are quieter and smoother than the originals, and may be some mileage improvement... They are supposed to have improved wet and snow traction, but I haven't been in such weather yet.

Exceeded My Expectations

I'm very impressed with the Michelin LTX M/S2. I installed a full set of the LTX M/S2's on my 2004 F-150 work truck about two months ago and truly believe they are the best tires I've ever purchased. I observed improved steering and handling and gained two (2) miles per gallon in fuel economy. What more could you ask for! I also have a 2010 F-150 that will get LTX M/2S Michelin tires when it's time to replace the existing tires. I highly recommend the LTX M/S2 Michelin's. Great tires!
