Cross Country and a summer in Colorado!

I purchased the Michelin's for my Silverado used to travel to-and-from New England and Colorado. The trip is 2,100 miles each way and then we alternate between paved and gravel roads in CO. The tires give a smooth and comfortable ride traveling cross country. When in CO, they are rugged enough to provide good traction on gravel and in the mud. Yet they are versatile enough to corner beautifully on the paved mountain roads. Not my first set of Michelins; certainly not my last. In fact we have similar Michelins on our other cars.

I'm Impressed

Had a set of these put on my 4WD Honda Element in September. I liked immediately. The ride is good, they're pretty quiet, but since winter hit, I realized these are the best tires I've ever had. The grip in deep snow is excellent, they stop well in snow/ice/slush and I have to be sure not to get overconfident. Wear in the first 3,000 miles has been negligible. I'm really happy with these tires. They even look like they mean business.

Worst riding tire ever

Have used Michelin tires for years and always loved them. Put this tire on a 2014 1500 RAM and they are the worst riding tires I have ever had. I am taking them off and putting on a different brand because I can' stand the ride any longer. My 9 year grand son even asked why the truck rode so bad.

Great tires

I bought my latest set of these Michelin tires about six months ago and they are as I expected them to be, quiet, smooth riding and showing very little tread wear. They have trouble free as well, but this is not a surprise to me, as I have had several sets of Michelins over the years. They are my go to brand of tires for sure. Trouble free and outstanding wear performance. Highly recommended if you are looking for the same. I will buy again without any hesitation for sure.

My First Michelin's

I have a higher mileage 2011 Ford Expedition 155K. I've had all kinds of tires on this vehicle. I was at my local tire shop and they recommended these LTX Defender's. Been running them about 8000 mi now. To my surprise they were just great in the snow. Wet traction also excellent. This truck is not an AWD it is rear wheel drive, with a dash switch. So it tends to break loose in the wet. There was a HUGE improvement in wet traction with the LTX's. Braking also excellent. But what I really like is that these run so quiet. I drive most time with the window open and I think this is the quietest tire ever on this vehicle. As a side note one of the guys I ride motorcycle with owns a auto repair shop. Just so happened in discussion he mentioned he had put the same tire on his wife's truck and he thinks they are great tires.. The only thing we both didn't like is the price. They are not crazy expensive but probably $40+ more then a "Good Tire" from the competition.

great product

The best tires money can buy, I replaced factory tires Bridgestone with only 3,000 miles on them because I had two flats and then after a rotation developed a vibration I could not get rid of, put the Michelins on an no problem and all the other problems went away, plus I know with winter coming and wet weather the Michelins will be much safer on the road. I have them on all three of my vehicles.

Excellent Quality and Ride

The Michelin Defender LTX are great quality tires and have a luxury ride. I have purchased my second set of these tires. The first set had almost 100,000 miles on them and still were in usable condition. I highly recommend these tires for high mileage and smooth ride.

3 sets of Michelins all exceeded Warranty Milage

Dear Sir or Madam: Back in 2004 I purchased my Nissan pathfinder Armada LE a 6500 lb SUV. After Trying other Brands I and being gravely disappointed on how poorly the tires lasted, I purchased my first set, my second set and now my 4th set of Michelin Tires. The Armada now has 240,000 miles on it. A lot of miles in the rearview mirror, but my Michelin lasted well past the Warranty stated at purchased. And yes I used Nirogen, and did the rotations and alignments and balancing etc. And Hocus Pocus they lasted, well past the warranty milage...So the "Beast" just keeps rolling. best Regards, Gray Ghost, Raleigh NC

Defender LTX M/S tires are very rough riding

Now on my second set of P265/70/R16 Defender M/S tires (in a month) and they are horribly rough riding (as were the first set). Thought there might be something wrong with my vehicle since the Michelins I took off (Latitudes) were great riding tires, so, I changed all rotors, pads, all the front and rear suspension, two different sets of shocks, tie rod ends, idler arm and bracket, etc. to no avail. The first set of Defenders were balanced 4 times before the tire shop finally changed them out for a different set. I am extremely unhappy with these tires, as is the wife. And as everyone knows, when the wife is not happy, everyone is unhappy.
