I have been using this product for a couple of years and have the greenest lawn in the neighborhood. During weed growing season, I mix half Scotts S and Green Max and spread it over the lawn at least 2x a year. I recommend this product to all. It may be a couple of $ more, but your lawn will love you for it.

This is good stuff, it really works as advertised, and greens up a lawn like nothing else. I use Scotts Turfbuilder with weed control in the Spring, as well as Scotts Winterguard in the late Fall. However, in between, if you want a lush, rich, GREEN lawn, imo, this is what to use all Summer long, for a great looking yard that can stand up to the heat. Just be sure to let your grass grow a bit longer, to shade itself, during the extreme heat of Summer. Again, this product works as advertised, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Why? Because it's what I use, and yes, my yard is the nicest in the neighborhood, people tell me so, all the time. Take care.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did not perform as I had expected it to. It did grow a few blades of grass but it was very few and far in between. I was very shocked to see this product under perform so much as it did. It has been a very hot summer and not sure if that affected the out come.

I applied this product in early July to a Bermuda lawn that was struggling from extreme heat and drought. After applying and watering for a couple of days, the lawn looks amazing. Grass is green and plush and looks better than lawns in the neighborhood that use professional service. Do be sure to get any excess off the drive or sidewalk because it will leave stains.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied Max Green late March using a Scotts Turf Builder broadcast spreader at the recommended setting. Grass was still yellow just recovering from a freeze the previous month. I did see a bit more green after 3 days. Don't think I've ever seen my lawn turn greener that quickly.

I applied this product as directed, had success before with it. Yes, it did stain the concrete, but it warned me on the label. My mistake!! I applied this in the Spring 2015 in South Georgia, on Centipede and St Augustine, by the middle of June, most of it was ruined. Brown patches was an understament. I was scrambling to keep my lawn to some degree of green for the Summer. Ended up overseeding with Burmuda (Which I can not stand).I will need to start over next spring! Will I use more Scott's products?????

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Green Max is the best Lawn food ever. Easy to spread, no mess or fuss. My lawn had a patch of grass that always seem to struggle. I used the Scotts Green Max and that patch became as green and beautiful as the rest of the lawn. I love it!

I used this on my bermuda lawn right as it left hibernation, and it turned green very quickly, and has stayed greener than the neighbors lawns throughout the summer. Neighbors yards have gotten patchy brown in the heat, but mine is still green. I also used it on my backyard (tall fescue) towards the end of the summer, and the fescue has remained green as well. If you are careful with application (using a edge guard) and you clean the product from your sidewalks, you will avoid staining, as per the instructions. The extra 10 minutes with a leaf blower is worth the green, but it does require extra time. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because it is more expensive than other brands - but it does work.
