3yr white $8000 courtyard driveway,walks ,patio . Just resealed $450 in May.Wisconsin Heat really took it out of the grass. finally got rain and some grass was cooming back and it could really use help Tues Rain, Wed applied /max and swept....( needed to sweep off every little granuel..just 1 would leave a bad stain especially with just a little water over spray Thursday today watered 7am.... Stains all over. Just sick totally unexpected Scotts user I decided to do the max green instead of the regular.. Big mistake Do not use near concrete at least 10 ft. or just use the std stuff...wife called Scotts..because I was MAD. Used "Super Iron Out"1 cup/gall of warm water... 3 hrs later most coming off..

It simply works as advertised! I applied it to my fescue lawn during the summer and it turned a lot greener after a couple of days. Big change right away! Just be careful with making sure you blow your driveway carefully to make sure nothing is left on it before watering. Just like the instructions state it will stain your driveway.

I've used Scott's Max Green on many an occasion. Overall, I would say it is decent, somewhat better than average, but still decent. $40 is way to much for a the 12,000 sqft bag like you'd get at HD. My best alternative to this product is Milorganite. You should be able to get this organic product from HD for $8. It covers 2,500 sqft/bag. The reason I like it better than Scott's product is because it actually puts food into the ground; whereas Scott's depletes the soil. My take on it. I've used Scotts Max Green, Scott's southern lawn food, Weed & Feed for Bermuda lawns, Milorgranite, Vigoro lawn food, and twin peaks 13-13-13.

Rarely does an advertised product of any kind do what it is bragging about. However, in the case of Green Max it does exactly what it says in the amount of time. An example for me was this past year the grass wasn't too long so it was hard to see the spreader's tire track. Within a week it was noticeable that I didn't do a good job of overlapping. So in the not so green strips I again spread Max and within three days those areas were as green as the others. Thanks for this product

I have a mix of different types of groundcover, and my main priority is just having green on all of my terrible clay-like dirt. This has definitely helped me in achieving that goal, I'm pretty impressed with it and would buy it again.

I bought this about three weeks ago and finally put it down my backyard last week. My backyard is definitely greener, which is a great thing with the summer we've been having. However, I followed the spreader settings for the Scotts broadcast spreader and I overlapped appropriately but I got stripes. Not really too happy about the stripes, but you can see the difference in color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this to my lawn and within 1 week maybe less my lawn was really greening up and growing thicker it appears to be filling in the bare areas but this could be just because the lawn is thicker. It works well.

I was really hopeful when I purchased this product. I read the reviews and was ready for careful application. However, the product clumped in the drop spreader, unable to be lied down. We then had to use a handheld spreader by Scotts, which didn't work much better. GreenMax ended up burning parts of my yard, and never made anything look greener. I would not buy again and I still have some fertilizer stuck in my drop spreader!
