[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not as I expected, did some greening. Have had much better success with the other Scott products that are aimed at feeding a lawn. Seems to be overrated versus Scott's other products that are designed for greening. Not bad.

Green Max worked as described but the weeds are taken over because of the wet conditions in my area. I would use this product again as green grass is desired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried various products over the years but my yard and grass is just gorgeous this year thanks to Scotts Green Max. The grass is lush, full and dark green. My neighbor's yard is splotchy...not sure why...but not mine! Yeah!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a rather large area in my lawn that was slow to green up this spring. Even though we were experiencing wetter than normal condition's. I spread Green Max on the area and I was very surprised as to how fast it started getting green and to me it looks much thicker than before very fast acting product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 10 days after applying Scott's Green Max Lawn Food, our grass is healthy, thick and very green. Our yard gets heavy dog usage and was worn after the winter months and sustained damage from unusually long period of cold and ice. Very pleased with results.

Destroyed my backyard lawn. Later, I found out this is why many stores will not carry this product because of to many complaints. I was so careful using this product, even set to a smaller number to not over spread. I always use Scott's products and my front yard is beautiful using Scotts Turf builder Weed and Feed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing. Within 2 days of application, you can see the difference. A deep rich green color to your lawn. Be conscious of getting the product on your driveway or pavement. It could cause a rust color to appear due to the iron in the fertilizer. I will purchase this in the spring and fall for my lawn. In the second picture I uploaded, you can see the difference between my lawn and the neighbors lawn.

I purchased two other types of Scott's fertilizer within a week of this purchase and hadn't had any problems. In fact the lawn had become greener within 3 to 4 days. As a result I was definitely looking forward to an even greener lawn with the Green Max Lawn food. It didn't disappoint. I got great results from the Green Max after a couple of days. However, after four days that included one day of rain on the third day, I was shocked to see bad orange stains on the concrete. I immediately searched on the Internet for orange stains resulting from Green Max. It appeared to be quite a common issue among Green Max customers. Thankfully after some searching, I was able to find a product that could remove the stains. I tested a small portion of unsightly concrete and was happy to see that it reduced the harsh orange of the stain. Unfortunately the product is not cheap and it takes a good deal of time and work to remove the stain. I estimate that it will take me around 6 to 7 hours this weekend to remove the majority of the orange stain from the concrete. I am not happy about this but what makes me more upset is that there seems to be no warning on the Green Max product page and no clear indication on the Green Max bag of potential stain problems. I'm sure this potential problem is common knowledge among those that have experience with fertilizer, but this was an unwelcome surprise to someone that doesn't. I would avoid this product.

After alternating back and forth between generic and Scott's fertilizers over the years, looking for a quality fertilizer at a reasonable price, I happened upon Scott's Green Max. I bought a few bags and put them in the garage for use at a later date. Recently used them for the first time, and what a noticeable difference it made. My lawn is the best it's been in years. As the package states, make sure you sweep the concrete surfaces to avoid the stains from the iron particles. I don't think you 'll be disappointed. Great product!
