I have had one thermacell unit for several years. Never had to get another as the one I have has worked flawlessly. I have used it at home in Texas and in Canada bear hunting. The product is unbelievably effective and works just as well as advertised, if not better. I am astounded by negative reviews of this product which maintain it does not work.

Mosquitos love me. I have one of these and an older 150, I use them whenever camping in Dubai, UAE and in the woods of Wisconsin. They really got tested to the max when I was making a wildlife documentary in the bush in Chad, Africa. When in a Malaria-rich, remote locations for weeks on end, you need a product that you can rely on. They worked a dream. When one ran out of gas- unknown to me, we were set upon by mosquitos. As soon as I replaced the canister, they were off ! Great customer service too.

I’ve used the MR300 with the 24 hour pads for two years now, in some very harsh conditions. They have not failed me yet, and many friends have moved towards these instead of using sprays. Simple common sense, set it up about 15 minutes before entertaining and if it’s windy out, check to make sure the flame hasn’t blown out. We’re very satisfied with ours.

I first heard about Thermacell about 20 years ago while hunting in lowstate South Carolina. Some other hunters told me of this device that kept the hoards of the swamp mosquitoes away. They told me I could buy one at a local gas station, where I went and bought it. To my amazement after I started using it, I was no longer lunch for these pesky bugs. I have since bought more over the years and just purchased 2 more. 1 for myself and 1 for my son who hunts with me. If you don’t have one, you need one.

Two friends and I went to North Carolina shortly after the Hurricane came that State. If I did not have a Thermacell the hunt would have been misery. When I would come down from the hunting stand, I would hold it out in front of me, like a" cross to vampires" to keep the mosquitos away. As soon as it was off, they swarmed. Purchased this last friday and used it all weekend camping. I have bite to prove the 15ft it's good for isn't so good. Critters were flying right next to it and didn't seem to care.

We used these sitting in a duck blind in the Louisiana marsh. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes, but after a while there isn't a single flying insect near us. Worked great.

Whether I'm hunting, fishing, or hiking, the thermacell is always with and turned on. Makes many trips much more enjoyable than if I was busy swatting bugs all day before thermacell
