This is a nice light and refreshing lager.  The foil packaging makes it even more fun to drink!

I do not drink !  but at every party or family reunion there is always corona beer in the cooler

That beer taste really good it is a lil bit strong but is delicious! I recommend it!

This beer is so yummy I love making micheladas with it or just cracking one open with salt and lime

Lately I have bought modelo from my local grocery store and the beer tastes like metal. I tried another thinking it was a fluke and it tastes like blood or metal in the beer. I researched it apparently it’s the process of the beer making and the metal piping is so degraded it’s leeching into the beer. 
Modelo is NOT safe for human consumption due to the metal content.

Coming from a background in craft brewing, I had previously dismissed Modelo Especial as one of "the usual suspects"...but it was through my sommelier training that I learned to open doors previously closed to food and people pairings. At a recent carne asada, or bbq event, in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas, someone gave me a 7oz Modelito served in a tall wine glass. It was delicious and refreshing with a slight bready flavor, as if I were tapping a barrel at the cervecería (brewery) myself. It also positively changed my perspective on the brand after I tasted a few more that day, including a sampling of the mysteriously dark Modelo Negra.
