I don’t like the sweet to root ratio lol. It’s too sweet. Barq’s is definitely better. There isn’t enough Barq’s root beer sold at this Walmart so we had to settle for A%26W root beer and I would rather just not get root beer at all than get this one again. :)

My grandfather, with his old world Bavarian accent, would teach us boys to never put ice into root beer because it cuts the flavor to be savored. My father's root beer was off limits to us kids and shared with us as a treat only. I have fond memories of getting frosty mugs of cold root beer at the drive-ins in my youth. I get a kick hearing my boys request root beer without ice just as Grandpa preached. I've seen generations enjoy the fine craft of good root beer. A&W exemplifies the quality expected with our fine tradition of truly enjoying great root beer.

Root beer is an all time favorite. I'm sure their aren't too many that does not like it. A&W is by far my favorite. So much more you can do with root beer...like root beer floats! Oh they are so good. Root beer on top of vanilla ice cream and or over orange sorbet. And it is caffeine free. It will make your who day smile!

I recently noticed on your A&W Root Beer labels that there is no longer "aged vanilla"! Has this been eliminated or is it part of the "natural ingredients"? If it HAS been taken out then A&W is just another root beer in my humble opinion. What SHOULD be taken out of your ingredient list is HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP which is detrimental to our health (as you should know by now)!

The classics just never get old. I have always been a root beer fan. In fact, my first words were "root beer." But I had never tried "A and W root beer" until a few weeks ago and I have not been able to stop drinking it. Just cant go back to the other brands. The classics just never do get old do they? But I still got 1 question... What do the A and W stand for??? Don't know if we'll ever know that but this is some dang good Root Beer!

Why was I not given a substitute for this product? I find it very hard to believe there is no root beer on the shelves of this store. Furthermore, why was I not told this product did not have a substitution when I was offered a substitute for another product in the same order?

There was an A&W Root Beer drive in near us when I was a kid. Nothing will taste like the ice cold drinks served in those frosted mugs, but I was very pleased with this bottled product. Yes, I usually am using it for root beer floats, but keep some chilled at all times to enjoy. And, yes, I agree that it should always be cold, but never over ice.

This Product has many amazing qualities! I use this to make floats and just drink by itself. If you use French Vanilla ice-cream and add brownie bits it is delicious! (Don't forget the whipped cream!) A&W root beer truly makes me happy!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Disappointed – Sold Expired A%26W Root Beer I purchased a pack of A%26W Root Beer on March 22, 2025, only to realize after opening a can that it had expired in April 2024—almost a full year past the expiration date. I was shocked that a product this far out of date was still being sold. The taste was noticeably off—flat and slightly sour compared to the rich, smooth flavor A%26W is known for. I usually enjoy this brand, but this experience was very disappointing and raises concerns about inventory management and quality control wherever this was stocked.
