Learned my lesson real FAST!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will never buy anything but Scotts brand products ever again. I own several income properties and I thought I would save some money by buying a "cheaper store brand" product of weed and feed. Boy was I sorry! The weeds just "laughed" and kept right on growing. NOTHING but Scotts products for my properties from now on out. There is no comparison to the results!

Needy lawn needed this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very tough lawn to treat. Had many weeds and obstacles. Grass was very thin. Not taken care of as needed. I’ve applied Scott’s weed and feed a few times. It’s getting easier to manage each time. Hopefully this is the last time for weed control.

Turf Builder to help manage weeds and thicken lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spreads easily and cleanly. Fine granules drop between grass blades. Using Scott spreader made a quick and easy application. Time will be required to judge result of application but I have some dandelions I'll be watching.

Don’t skip this treatment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Scott’s for close to 25 years and can’t say enough about the quality. The turf builder with weed control is great to use in a litter later in spring because the dandelions are out. I don’t have a ton, but this treatment wipes them out. This is one of the more tricky applications because you need to find the perfect weather conditions. Rain, then apply to wet grass so it sticks to weeds and then no rain for like 2 days so it has time to kill the weeds. And if you don’t get rain after 2 days then you should water iir in. Great results.

We're sorry to hear about your disappointment. Two out of the three weeds you've mentioned are hard to control. Clover is a common perennial weed found in lawns throughout the United States. The most common type of clover established in lawns is white clover. It is very tolerant of a wide range of soil types. White clover spreads by creeping with above ground stems or stolons. White Clover reproduces by seeds or stolons. The seeds of white clover are kidney shaped and very hard, which allow for extended dormancy. The seeds can survive for 20 years or more in the soil. The seed of the white clover can germinate at different times throughout the summer whenever cool, moist conditions exist. The other way this weed can spread is through stolons, which grow at a rate of 18 cm. per year. The flowers of white clover will die off and the foliage will decompose. The stolons will remain until the following spring when they produce new shoots. The best way to manage clover is with regular feeding and proper mowing http://tinyurl.com/zmx8993. This will encourage a dense turf and make it difficult for clover to become established. Chickweed is a low-spreading winter annual or perennial weed with a weak, shallow root system. This weed sprouts in the fall, making fall the best time to control it. The prostrate (flat) stems often root at the nodes. Its spreading growth covers adjacent turf and seriously impedes turf growth. Chickweed often forms extensive, dense patches. Chickweed thrives in cool, moist areas. Growing conditions can be made less favorable by lightening the soil or otherwise improving drainage, especially in shady areas. Heavy, constant shade should be lightened as well where possible. Shaded areas should be planted with turfgrass species which do well in the shade and which will provide maximum competition to weed species which invade shady areas. Aeration of the soil will also help in your weed battle. http://tinyurl.com/nekvycs We hope you've found this information helpful. We want you to be confident in our products. Lawn is fed and weeds are dead! What more can you ask for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed 3 to be a very affective product. It does a great job of killing off dandelions and other weeds while providing the proper amount of fertilizer to maintain my lawn in a nice green healthy manner. The price I have found locally, is as good or better than other brands, making the product a good value for the price.

Weed and feed? More like weed feed!

Applied this product to our lawn which was overrun with dandelions. Made sure to follow directions exactly. No cutting grass before or after, no rain a few days after, made sure the temperature was high enough, lightly watered the yard before applying. Not a single weed was killed! We had more weeds after 1 week than when we applied. After 3 weeks went and got Spectacide which we attached to the house and sprayed the lawn. I'd say about 75% of our weeds are gone now. I can't recommend scotts weed and feed. Useless and EXPENSIVE.

Discolored my Bermudagrass

I followed the instructions carefully but ended up with a discolored lawn. No weeds, but... the label said temporary discoloration. However, this was not temporary. I will not use this product again. Now working to find a product to restore a solid green color back to my lawn.

Mystery Grass turning green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My side yard has mostly mystery grass. Thus, I decided to apply to one area near the middle. I spread with a broadcast spreader trying to stay in middle area. Some of the green died out, but the remainder turned dark green. I like the product.

A Lush, Weed-Free Lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Weed and Feed is very effective against a host of weeds. I used it to kill and control dandelions, aster and clover. As Scotts Weed and Feed kills weeds, it thickens lawns thereby crowding out weeds. I have found that Scotts Weed and Feed takes about 10-14 days to kill the weeds. Then for the next 4-5 weeks it feeds my lawn making it green and lush.
