Excellent product, Great value

These tires have been great. I live in a snow belt and they have done wonderful during the winter months. We have seen a slight increase in milage and have been extremely pleased with the ride quality. I am rotating them every 7000 miles and should easily get 70000 miles life out of these tires, which to me is a great value.

Worst Michelin I've owned

I've used Michelin tires for 30 years and have never had an issue, until I had a set of Energy Energy Saver tires came on my 2018 Silverado when purchased new. I've never had a tire with tread "chunk" before, but 2 of the 4 had chunking all the way around the tread. Had this been my first set of Michelin's, I would never by another Michelin tire. I went back to LTX M/S at 40,000 and expect the Michelin performance I'm used to. Noticed an immediate improvement with the Defender LTX M/S.

Good OEM performance

I purchased the OEM tire for my Lexus after having balance issues with two other brands Pirelli and GY. They are quiet and do a decent jobs over bumps, not the best though. The only issue I have is that my car started making a faint thumping sound as soon as I left Discount Tire. It was tested by them and they claim not to hear it. It would have been an excellent tire that kept the OEM feel and drive of the car if it wasn’t for this issue. The tires don’t tramline or vibrate except for a slight rumble noise probably caused by whatever is making them thump. The tires perform great in all conditions. I don’t trust them for snow and I change to snow tires in the winter.

Didn't make it close to 65,000 miles

Bought a New 2020 Lexus Hybrid car in June of last year that came with these tires. I have had every manufacturer maintenance completed in a timely manner to include the recommended tire rotations. My car currently sits at 30,000 miles and these tires are worn out and need replacing due to being below state minimum tread depth. There is no uneven wear and I mainly drive on the highway.

Not impressed with the tread

My experience seems to match most of the reviews below. The tires came with my 2018 Honda Clarity, which I bought new, with ~ 37mls on the Odometer. I am not an aggressive driver by any standard. I typically drive straight highway and cruise at 65 - 70 mls/hr. After 26K on the odometer, I am hesitant to go through the winter (Upstate NY) with these tires, since they have significantly worn down. I have always bought Michelin in the past for my Ford Escape Hybrid, and got significantly more miles out of them then these, even though Michelin states I should get 60K out these.

We understand the Energy Saver A/S tires on your 2018 Honda Clarity did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Unfixable. Unhappy.

2023 Chevy Bolt EUV - Tires came with vehicle from dealer. 24,000km on vehicle, only 6 months use on tires because we use winter tires for 6 months. Have picked up a tack that won’t seal and dealer says is unfixable. VERY expensive tires to replace at this rate of replacement. Will have to look elsewhere for new tires.

Noisy and poor winter performance

I've had these tires on my car for 3 months. First I have noticed they are very noisy in dry road conditions and has become irritating. Second being from Canada (Ontario) and very use to winter condition and driving with All-Seasons, there tires perform very poorly even in light snow or snow packed surfaces. I would not recommend this tire.

Long term review 4.5 years, 51k miles honda accord

Orginal tires on 2014 honda accord hybrid. Tires are quiet for the first 2.5-3 years, noise gets louder as it wears around 42k. Not happy in wet weather seems to hydroplane in real wet weather in california, new and older. Wear is good and still have tread at 51k but looking to change tires this winter to another version of michelin. Gas mileage average i saw no significant difference from what the vehicle new car sticker stated. Overall ride intially are great and smooth and fair. Lightly stiff ride and firm great traction on dry roads and corners good.

Really good tire - good handling and good tire life

I just had a new set installed. This is now my second set of these tires. I chose to replace them at 45,000 miles, but they still had decent life on them and could have probably gone to 55,000 miles. Good handling, one survived a nail repair and another one survived a puncture with the "fix flat" spray used. Gave a Quiet ride and good fuel economy.

New Favorite, but no 22" dia tires for 14" wheels.

My last set of Michelin Defenders Green-X tires lasted 60,000 miles and 7 years. This time I chose Michelin Energy Saver A/S Green X tires, for my now rarely used, 2003 Toyota Sienna Van. The van is so much nicer to drive with new tires, again quiet, smooth, comfortable in all weather conditions and MPG is up, especially on 45-55 mph zone backroads +5 mpg. This is my new favorite tire! The van gets only 19 mph around town (27 mpg now on the back roads with A/S tires), and with all the kids gone, I decided on a smaller daily driver I found a used 2000 Honda Insight 5sp. The factory tires it are are VERY NOISY, they've worn out quite quickly and were chosen for the car 18 years ago, i.e. old technology. Traction is ok, but not stellar, so I came here first, given the Energy Saver A/S MPG gains and ride on my Van. The factory Insight tire is a 165/65/14 that weighs 12 lbs, has a 22.5 inch diameter and is mounted on a streamlined 10.5 lb factory wheel. On the flats the car has gotten over 100 mpg. Around town, on these hills, it has gets a steady 58.5mpg over the last 4283 miles. The size and weight of tires, the high gearing, a super efficient hybrid engine, low coefficient of drag of the car, and how the car is driven all adds up to a great MPG. But I want a quiet, even more efficient ride, like I now have with the Energy Saver A/S tires on the van. The problem is the smallest lightest Energy Saver A/S is a 175/65/15 tire that weighs 15 lbs, has a 24" diameter and mounts on a 15" wheel, coming from 12lbs, 22.4" dia on a 14" special streamlined wheel. I've sourced new 7.7 lb 15" non-streamlined wheels that will offset the extra 3 lb Energy Saver A/S tire weight. Yet the extra tire diameter of +1.5 inches, 165/65/14 to 175/65/15, not only messes with the speedometer and mpg gauge, the car is geared so high from the factory, that especially in first, it will be even more difficult to take off on the often wet steep uphills where I live. I'm just wondering if there will be a 22" dia, 11-13 lb Energy Saver A/S tire for 14" wheels any time soon (nothing like that in the Defender series either), or do I sadly need to buy a set of 165/65/14s from the other guys? Again, If I have to drive, I want the best MPG. The Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires are the BEST tires I have ever owned, for all around comfort, wear, quiet ride and daily driving, and a BIG PLUS to MPG, which saves not only gas and money, but reduces my CO2 toll on the Global Climate Catastrophe.
