Noisy

I just purchased a 2013 Town and Country Chrysler Van. equipped with the Energy A/S tires. I have to say that they are the noisiest tires I have ever had on a vehicle. It almost sounds as if I have a set of snow tires on the van or constantly driving on a grooved surface in the road.. The ride is fine but the noise is too much! Any recommendations on a replacement or a way to correct the problem?

Smooth riding tire

This is an excellent tire for three season use. Being an all season tire is stretching it. It performs well in wet and dry conditions. However it is not a winter tire and should not be used in snow. The tire is fairly quite in my Escape at highway speeds. I would recommend this tire to anyone, just buy snow tires for the winter.

Mediocre tire at best

Minnesota driver - My Wife bought garbage tires and put my Energy Savers on her 2014 Sonata Hybrid this year so I need a new set. We swap winter/summer tires every season (Love my Michelin X-ice!). I drive approximately 180/day all year long, was disappointed in this tires wet and beginning/end of year snow. Get your snow tires on ASAP ! Stopping and starting seem quite a bit less than advertised in wet conditions. I didn't not notice any increase in MPG and track my gas usage meticulously. While I would not recommend these, I most likely am going to buy one more set as defenders won't be available in my size until August.

According to the ...

According to the warranty, and quality of product, my tires are missing something exceptional for a passengers car, 10000 miles. I get my tires rotation like it is indicated in my users manual, as well as the pressure level, etc., nevertheless, by next month I'll buy a set of for new tires and I have consider 3 other brands that compete with significantly with my michelins.

Incredible tire

I got this tire because it was made to improve gas mileage on hybrids by 8%. It did exactly that. I have 85,000 miles on it and expect to get maybe 5,000 more (note: I am religious about balance and rotation, alignment and tire pressure). I commute around 25 miles one way and it is mostly freeway miles. It handles as good as original tires which only lasted 48,000 miles. Road noise is an issue with the 2007 Prius anyway, so I do not attribute it to the tires. This tire did not decrease the road noise from the original equipment. I really can't say anything negative about this tire. When these finally wear out I will buy another set of this exact tire or the newer version! Buy it, you'll like it.

Become one with the road

As soon as these new tires were put on my car, I could feel the difference. It was as if my car gained weight and became attached to the earth. The tires hug the road, no skidding or sliding around anymore. I am in control of the vehicle and I have a sense of security not felt before. I had blamed the car for the very poor drivability in the snow, what a difference the new tires made. It wasn't the car at all, it was the factory installed tires. My new Michelin tires make me feel like I am one with the road. Good job Michelin!

Reasonable tire, not as good as old Michelins

These tires came stock on my 2015 C-Max Hybrid SEL... They took about 2000 miles to wear in and the mileage was about 43 mpg. They don't have that great dry or wet road traction. My little 2 liter non turbo engine can easily break them loose anytime. They slide around too easily in the rain and can be scary at times. They are predictable and you know what to expect, but for the money and the way they advertize, these tires could be way better. They wear way too fast too, and I am 65 and drive easy. The Michelins I used years ago were way better tires in rain and snow and would last 90 thousand miles. I don't know why they are so poor now, but it's time to look for other tires. My last hybrid had Michelin tires too and they had bad delamination of the tread at 18k miles. Michelin replaced them all, but the new ones they gave me handled poorly too and I traded in the car. I had Continental tires come stock on my hybrid before that one and they also wore quickly, even worse than the Michelins, but they stuck like glue to the wet and dry roads, and I was never afraid to drive in the winter with them. Braking was also better. Tires could be so much better than they are these days. With all the scientific advancements these days, why did tires get worse? Because they want them to be worse! Bad Michelin!

Michelin Mileage Champions

I put 100K miles on a set of Michelin XZX radials on a Ford Fiesta years ago, perfect wear pattern, topped 49.5 MPG, lifetime average 38.5 MPG. My 2008 Ford Escape got a nail in the tread at 78,801 miles with about 10K miles left on the tires. The nail was not fixable, so got new Energy AS tires. They were replacing Michelin tires Ford put on the car. I noticed these tires are quiet and they do seem to coast smoother, handling is good but in the interest of fuel mileage I don't break hard, start fast, just cruise and look ahead. The V6 Escape is breaking in, averaging around 26 MPG combined driving, better than 32 on open road. I will be back to report on these tires and thier mileage in about 10K of use. The mileage average better be good, I will maintain my driving habits. I will have to drive them for a year before I really praise or criticize these tires they seem better than the Michelins they replaced. 60MPH Cruiser

Rally like these tire.

This is the third car that I have purchased these tire to replace the original tires. I have a small car and these tires greatly reduced road noise. I like the handling and the all season aspect of these. I will be purchasing a set for my other car in a few months.

Better than the rest!

These tires came as OME on my ‘17 Accord Hybrid and have added an unexpected value to my overall vehicle experience. Being that the car is delivered with a road side assistance plan and no spare tire, I had my initial reservations. That said, 32 months and 21,000 miles in, I am thrilled with the product! Adding these tires to all my future vehicles and you should too, be safe!
