So let it rain, let it pour

I've only driven 4000 Km on my Premier A/S, so I can't speak to longevity, but my initial impressions find them to provide excellent wet weather grip and handling, be smooth rolling, and very quiet. My Corolla holds the road better than ever, I literally feel like Moses parting the Red Sea when I drive in our Pacific Northwest rains. I look forward to testing Michelin's technology of expanding rain groves with tire wear, but I'm confident these tires will continue to perform brilliantly and I'll definitely look to purchase them again.

Premier A/S Great!

Had these three+ years. 60,000 miles later with 4/32nds, Great performers. On Interstate, cruising at 75 in rainstorm when everybody else creeping along. No noticeable hydroplaning. Have dealer balance tires. Costs a little more but balance more true and almost no vibration at speeds less than 85.

Quiet Ride - Decibels measured

Have an app on my iphone and had purposefully measured the decibels on my old tires and compared to the new Premiers - 10+ decibels quieter. Not sure how any other reviews could be claiming how they wear, as this tire was just released in April of this year; but happy to be back in the "Michelin fold"...;o)

Great Tires

I replaced all 4 tires on my 2006 Accord LX Sedan 4 days ago, I was set o going for the Primacy MXV4 but learned that they were discontinued and replaced with the Premier A/S. I read about the technology behind the Premier A/S and decided to pull the trigger despite the risks with new products. It has only been 4 days but so far I am not disappointed and am quite impressed. Contrary to the other reviewer, these are the most quiet tires I have ever rode or driven on. I can't even hear them at 35psi (I'm supposed to be at 29/30) and trust me, I don't take road noise lightly. They are very very comfortable. Braking and accelerating feels as if the car was new - and somehow I experienced heavy rain and frost these past 4 days and had no issues. The tires are also very very stable at speed, it's too easy to go up to 80mph+ and not even feel it. The only drawback compared to the performance all season tires I'm coming from is the cornering stability, the Premier's are much softer and does not hug the pavement as nicely but overall the handling is great. I can't take any stars away for a tire that does everything else so well.

Great Performance tire with poor tread life

My last 6 sets of tires have been Michelin. We have always exceeded the mileage rating. When these were installed we were thrilled to get them. They were a huge improvement all around from the original equipment tires on our 2015 Subaru outback. Now, a little over two years later, they are at 3 mm at 30,000 miles. What a huge disappointment. We will replace them with something else. We have also picked up four or five nails/screws. This may be coincidence, but it is more than double the norm.

We understand the Premier A/S tires on your 2015 Subaru Outback did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Back to good mileage

When my last set of Michelins wore out, I unfortunately made the choice to put Goodyears on my Mazda 6. My mileage dropped 4-5 mpg. Had dealer request Goodyear replace, and they refused. My dealer bought them back from me at reduced price of course, and I paid the difference to stick the Premier on my wheels. Mileage is up 5 mpg. That's a major difference if you ask me. I saw some negative comments, but I don't hear any extra noise, and the tires cling to the road when I come down Monteagle Mountain. I won't experiment with another tire brand again.

Great during a hurricane

I drove 20 miles through a category 1 hurricane, with lots of rain and water on the road, these tires never hydroplaned for even a second, like previous tires have done. Instead of being scared, I felt relaxed, knowing my tires were gripping the road. I highly recommend.

Great! While they lasted

First got a set of these tires, thought they were the best in the world. Other worldly traction, great stopping power, I could go on. But after only 37,000 miles, I went for an oil change and they wouldn't rotate them because they were almost bald! I couldn't believe it I had to check it myself. Sure enough, the wear bars had more tread. I've never abused them, don't brake hard (usually coast where I can), gentle on accel and cornering. Extremely disappointed from what seemed like a top of the line tire. Might go back to Defender's as I got 90K out of them.

Only lasted 20,000 miles.

I bought these tires in 2019, four of them, and barely two years later all four failed inspection (only clocked 20,000 miles on them), even with proper care and maintenance. I was hoping to get at least half of the advertised life expectancy out of them. I do not recommend these tires and can't stress that enough. Not reliable, not safe, and not living up to the brand name.

60,000 mile tire, 60,000 miles driven.

I put a set of four on my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour on Sept. 2015. At 60,000 miles today, not quite at the top of the wear bars but getting close. With winter approaching, looking to replace this set with the same model. Pretty sure this same tire model was also the factory set and drove 60,000 miles on those too. I do take good care of my vehicle including tire pressure and rotation and wheel alignment. Tread doesn’t look aggressive but never had a bad experience in snow. Great wet weather traction. Only “complaint” is that they are a bit noisy on the highway and minor bumps in the road are like drumbeats.
