There are a few reasons why I can’t give this five stars. Overall, this set looks great, and it would be very difficult to purchase this set at this price anywhere else given it has Sunbrella fabric on all of the very think cushions. So in that regard, it is excellent. However, it is not cast aluminum so the entire set is hollowed aluminum and the black powder coating is very thin and applied with sub par quality, easily given to scratches and chipping. We purchased two sets for a large patio space and we had to immediately turn around and physically return one set because it was severely damaged in several areas (broken chair leg and horribly installed slats with missing paint); Sam’s Club was happy to return it and allow us to either exchange it or take a full refund. The downside was that we had to wait for over an hour for them to source one of the 17 boxes they had in the Gilbert location which was extremely unacceptable from a customer service perspective. Once we opened the new box that replaced the damaged set, everything looked good. We are currently using and enjoying it, but I would caution anyone looking for cast aluminum that this is not the product you’d want. Cast aluminum is solid, which would be heavier and have a stronger, tensile strength. For our use, this is a great set. We live in Arizona, and the sun will destroy essentially everything except for polywood and aluminum furniture for outdoors. The other benefit is that the set includes all seat covers and a table cover for inclement weather to protect the cushions from dirty rain and dust storms. I hope this helps anyone who is looking for this type of furniture.
