My son bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it. He could've got a better gift..

Fed ex delivery and box was damaged and thrown on the steps of my front porch. There was a hole in the box and it appeared to be retaped. There were several parts of the actual go cart that were damaged and we had to repair the areas before we could put it together. The part where you can adjust for the length of the bike was so jammed together that we had to take a hammer and work it out.

We received the hoverboard portion damaged, though it appeared to be simply cosmetic. We decided to allow our daughter to play with it just the same and deal with that later. The assembly was very minimal and very straightforward. Unfortunately, the "go" pedal failed after a few hours of use, I don't remember what it looked like prior to sending my kid out, but a spring or something similar must have fallen off as the pedal will not retract to a neutral position. My concerns are that if you take a "hard turn" with your foot off the pedal the unit doesn't slow down it actually speeds up as it applies a slight twist to the hoverboard which acts as the motor. My last complaint is the simple velcro attachment of the main seating portion to the "motor" or hoverboard. The board slides left and right even with the velcro tightened as hard as I can. Again a great concept just needs more work.

My boys think the carts are super fun, however the batteries do not last. We live in a very small town and they get stranded with dead batteries all the time. The battery will run out long before the rated 12 miles, I would say they are good for 2-3 miles at most.

The concept is great, but execution is very poor. The velcros that hold the hoverboard in place are hard to manage. An adult is definitely the one who has to do it. Even after tightening as hard as possible, the cart moves around when riding and the back end rides crooked. I can imagine that with time the tires will have weird markings from how uneven it rides and the hoverboard itself won't ride well because the tires will be uneven. The information above is assuming your hoverboard will make it past the first day. My son rode it for a couple of hours on the first day and the hoverboard started locking. Now it just won't ride smoothly anymore or it simply shuts off. I'm taking it back to Sam's club immediately.
