Not Easy

We are sorry for the disappointment you have experienced with the results of your recent seeding effort. I'd like to offer a few tips that may be helpful to you in future seeding endeavors. As with any seed product, ScottsEZ Seed Sun & Shade requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. When one of these conditions is missing, poor germination is the result. Be sure to spread the EZ Seed Sun & Shade evenly over the prepared area. EZ Seed Sun & Shade should be sparsely applied to the depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If EZ Seed Sun & Shade has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used where you are seeding, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination of the seed. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass. W hope these extra tips are helpful. We want you to be confident in our products. Product works great!

We put the seed down, watered and waited...and the grass grew in bright green and thick. Looks great! It worked so good in the large area, I bought more for other bare spots in the yard.

Waste of money here! Tried the Bermuda seed and nothing happened, followed directions and kept area moist but nothing germinated!! Not happy with this product

No grass grew, at all!

We wanted to try this product on, probably an 8' by 2' patch of our yard to regrow the grass, and we used the entire container and not one blade of grass grew. We watered and tilled the dirt and it still grew nothing.

I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy!

Absolutely garbage, never germinated! I had a spot a little bigger than a pizza pan. Western PA in May (rainy, damp, warm). Tilled the soil, and spread the seed with a Scotts broadcast spreader. I set my Orbit sprinkler timer. Three weeks and there hasn't been Jack Squat! Not even a sprout. Thankfully I can return this for a full refund. I thought this was a brand I could trust, clearly my experience and quite a few others (reviews) show this seed mix is junk. I hope Sam's reads these reviews and pull this product. I'm disabled, despite the small area it took me a couple hours to prepare the soil for seed.

Germination times vary but you should see germination in 5-30 days. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
