This product is not very good!

I purchased the 20 lb. bag of EZ Seed for a 300 sq. ft. area. The grass grew in patches and after the grass got to a height of about 2 inches, it grew no taller. The product is way over priced for the results it produces!

We are sorry to hear about the disappointment you have experienced as a result of your recent seeding effort. We'd like to offer a few tips that may be helpful to you in future seeding endeavors. Scotts EZ Seed requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. You also must be sure to spread the EZ Seed Sun & Shade evenly over the prepared area. The seed should be sparsely applied to the depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If the product has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used where you are seeding, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination of the seed. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass. Temperature also plays a critical role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures for this particular product must be at least 55° F for the seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80°F. range and not going below 50°F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures.We truly hope these extra tips are helpful. EZ SEED

Expensive Bird Seed

EZ Seed Success

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ahave used the EZ Seed produuct for a few years to supplement the Scott's Step 1-4 series I do. It is great for bare spots that come up rnadomly or due to dog traffic. It is very easy to use.

This is EZ

I got this product and thought it was just like the bottle said, EZ ! All you have to do is water it and it will tell you when to do that by the color. My grass looks great, and I'm getting more for other part of my yard.

Spread, water, then watch it grow
