love the dual feature for which I wanted

currently had a generator but was gas only and ever month had a hard time starting it. I had taken it in to be service three times and still had trouble starting. Never again. I have been told by service person I should buy one that is like this model and glad I have.

Well Built and designed product

I bought this generator recently and have not really put to test but so far it has lived up to what is expected. I was able to put it together quickly and for the weight it maneuvers well. The finish looks good and in all looks like a well built product. 4 stars because I cannot judge the reliability and long term effects.

Outstanding Features including Remote Start!

Purchased this after a storm and older and lower powered generator wouldn't start. Between the dual fuel, remote start feature, and of course the power of the unit, this purchase was a no brained and is powerful enough to support most of the home, and absolutely the essentials .

Excellent product!

After adding (furnished) oil and connecting battery, this generator started with one push of the remote start fob. It ran smoothly and at reasonable noise level. Just what i wanted in an emergency power source, and one that I expect will give me years of service due to excellent build quality and generous warranty.. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Remote Start Worked First Time

After putting it together, filling with oil and gas, and getting familiar with the controls I used the remote key to start it. It had a little trouble but once I manually did the choke it started right up. Tested it with a light and so far so good.

Almost perfect

I would give this a perfect review but when the Ian hit Florida I used up my propane first and then went to gas. After trying to start with gas it wouldn't start. Had the knobs and switches in the correct setting. Pulled the bowl fuel screw and it was getting to the bowl. Pulled the safety shutoff from the bowl and it wasn't working. Put power directly to the wires and still nothing. Finally cut the plunger off the switch and away it went. This has never been ran on gas so I know it wasn't stuck from something I ran through it.

Easy to setup and use

Very easy to unpack, setup, start and run. The dual start feature, pull-cord or electric start, was important to me as an elderly guy with back & shoulder problems. The dual fuel capability, being able to run with propane or gasoline, was also a key selling point for me. Great product and a great Westinghouse Company to back it up.

Versatile unit but

Out of the box the unit was easily assembled (wheels and feet). Having an appropriate funnel for adding the oil was a plus. Criticism involves the instructions. Upon opening the box there is the User Manual and several other sheets of information in a bag. The Quick Start guide is one of the sheets but is on the inside of a folded sheet and was not immediately discovered. It was several days before the Quick Start guide was discovered. The Quick Start guide and the Manual have different recommendations for the installation of the feet and tires. The Quick Start guide's item #2 does not suggest how the generator should be positioned to install the tires. The user manual suggests tipping the generator onto one side then the other to install the feet and wheels. The propane hook up extends past the edge of the protective frame and could be subject to damage if the unit is turned onto its side without more than cardboard as suggested. Both methods require user interpretation. More minor are discrepancies between what the User manual states as to location of included elements; e.g., location of the remote starter (not in the box but on the recoil handle) and what the user has to do in addition to installing the feet and tires; e.g., connecting the battery

reliable and powerful

Purchased within the last year and have used a couple of times to run it in preparation for an emergency. I love the push start and remote start features as well as fuel options (gas vs. propane). The unit is easy to set up. It's loud but does the job.

Super easy to set up and start. Performs well!

Researched several models and brands before settling on this one. Took it out of the box, put the wheels and feet on it, filled it with oil and it fired right up. Perfect for my application (backup power for a large reef aquarium in the event of an outage). Runs well on gas and propane.
