When starting the generator on LP when warm, the auto choke seems to flood the engine and will not start. Corrective action is to turn off LP at tank and then hit start. When engine fires, turn on LP tank. A comment in user manual would be helpful

I purchased this for storm power outages and was very pleased with the unit. The duel fuel feature was an important part of making this purchase. when your power goes out so does the power at your local gas station. propane is much easier to store long term. It was really nice that it came with everything you needed to get it running right away. For a generator it was quieter than i expected. Assembly was simple and painless.

I have no comments on use during an emergency, because I just received the generator. I was asked to leave a review and be compensated by a cover or power strip. No covers were available. My review basically covers unpacking and start-up. The unit was very easy to set up and the instructions were clear. I feel that's significant given the potential for damage resulting from incorrect set-up. After putting on the wheels, adding oil, connecting the battery and reading the start-up instructions, the generator started up with no drama. I would have liked more information about the oil. Instead of causing me to look for the sump capacity, they could have just said: "Dump the whole container into the engine." The funnel could have been a little more robust as well, but it ends up being a one-tine use thing. The generator is easy to move about the garage, appears to be well made, and starts easily.

The generator appears to be made well. It was a little difficult to find the break in time and procedure in the manual. It was great that it came charged but it was very hard to start the first time and it needed manual manipulation of the choke to finally get it it start. From there it ran fine so I hope this thing is ready for when I actually need it!

I just set up and fired up this generator for the first time, and I am very impressed. The product came very well packaged and the instructions for setup were clear and easily understood. I love the fact that it came with everything needed to get it going, including the engine oil! The only thing I needed to add was the fuel itself. Once I got it set up I connected it to a propane tank, sat back, and used the remote start; it started right up. I have not yet used it to actually power anything, but I have no doubt it will work as well or better than advertised. Overall a very impressive machine.

Bought this recently and after following start up procedure, connected it to propane and it started immediately and ran perfectly. It's connected to our house via transfer switch and we did a dry run with simulated main power off and it powered everything we needed perfectly. Dual fuel is the way to go without a doubt if you don't want to worry about issues with gas.

When it was time to replace my old generator I chose this model for the advantage of dual fuel. I wish I would have done it years ago. So much more power and easier to start and use. Remote start is convenient. It's quieter than the 4k it replaced too.

After receiving a brand new Generac that would not start, I took a deep breath and did research for plan B. Saw the wGEN7500DF and had a strong attraction just by the appearance, which was fortified after reading many positive reviews. Everything from the instructions to fact that it actually worked has been great. (started on first push of start button and key FOB remote, and first pull of recoil) I plan to switch to propane tomorrow and run some test loads at below 50% as instructed for break-in. I have other new Westinghouse products and am overall quite pleased. Time, of course will tell, but I just have a good feeling about this unit. Not too many people I have talked to are up on this brand for portable generator applications. I hope to change this by telling them about my experience.

Compare to my previous generator, it is easy to start with electric button and remote. And battery is connected to power supply to maintain the life of battery. Dual Fuel is convenient since I always have 2 tanks of propane gas so I can start using right the way without worrying to get gasoline.

If you offer a 'bonus' for reviews; have stock of the offered items. Good start and run on propane, recommended. Suggestions: a) improve installation instructions, e.g., specify tools required, e.g., 10mm socket or wrench, b) include Loktite(tm) or equivalent thread adhesive compound for securing bolts.
