Just received this generator this morning, was worried about damage due to reviews about packaging. Opened her up and all was good!. Putting the wheels on was a breeze.Filled her up with oil, connected the battery and electric ignition cables, connected propane and she fired right up. Very very pleased!

I just set it up, started it and connected it to my electrical panel that was pre-wired for it. Very easy for this 60+ yr old gal to do without help. I now have a peace of mind, knowing I will have power for the multiple outages that occur on the Oregon Coast. I live alone and have to be independent over here.

Just bought this generator and it was easy to setup. Easy to start with the push button and battery. Gonna start using it with Propane. Instructions need some updating. Battery setup is totally different and easier than in the book. Sad to hear no bonus item as mentioned in the pamphlet.

I bought this Westinghouse dual fuel generator to provide backup power to my house when we lose utility power during our annual wind storms. The generator was heavy but easy enough to put together and position. The parts all fit together nicely, and the manual provided clear instructions. I like that I can use propane as a fuel source, as I always have a tank on reserve and it's easier to transport safely than gasoline. I also appreciate how easy it was to ground the control panel when setting it up. I don't really want to lose power, but now at least I'm covered when I do.

I just bought the generator yesterday and started it for the first time today so I haven't had any practical experience with it yet. However, the electric start works great and I'm happy that I can use it with propane at some point. I like the display showing voltage, frequency, and hours, the fuel gauge, and the weatherproof covers on the outlets. Lots of good features.

Easy to understand owners manual. Not much of a job to put unit together. DF was a totally needed feature. Recently experienced a Deracho in our area & of course all gas stations were down because of no electricity. Great feature to have propane as a substitute.

The gasoline tank has an indent that was disguised by someone before shipping with a black marker. The Westinghouse Generator 7500DF would not manually start after setting it up referencing ALL the instructions. Turns out that until the starter-battery is fully charged, the auto-choke function seems to lock-out any hope of getting the thing to run with a manual pull-start. After six hours of charging the battery, the manual start did work. However, there is still not enough battery juice to turn the engine over for an electric start. Will keep charging and report the outcome to 855-944-3571. Love the idea and promise of a dual-fuel electric generator. If this works out to match the sales description, I will be very happy. I might even up-star my review, if I don't have further problems.

Fortunately we didn't need it for Florence, but its a good to know we've got it ready for the next storm (whenever it may arrive). Started very easy, somewhat noisier than I expected, but when weighed against not having power we'll certainly deal with the noise.

Received two days after ordering , unpacked assembled (which was easy) added Oil and the Generator started on the first attempt with Propane. I plugged in a portable AC unit for testing all worked as designed. I know Westinghouse is a well-known, trusted brand that consistently makes quality products. This is something I hope I will never need but I am confident it will perform if the need arises.

I bought this a couple of months ago. Assembled it and started it up on propane. It started instantly. Unfortunately it wouldn't start on gasoline. After many attempts and trying everything possible I contacted customer service. I have to say I had trouble getting in touch with David but when I finally did he couldn't have been more helpful. After explaining the problem it was decided that it was most likely the carburetor. He gave me the choice of taking it to the nearest service center to be fixed or if I was handy and thought I wanted to replace it myself he would send me a new carburetor. As I had no way to get it there and have done things like this before I opted to do it myself. The carburetor arrived within a few days and when I replaced it it started up like a charm. Oddly enough our power went out for about 2 hours for no apparent reason right after that and we got to use it. We hooked it up to the transfer switch and it powered everything. It is absolutely wonderful!
