Ready for the power to go out!

If you don't have one of these you need to get one! It was easy to hook up to my house and I really like being able to store bottles of propane rather than plastic jugs of gas. The remote is a great option too, I will be able to shut down staning next to my panel when I switch back!

Great Home Unit, Dual Fuel and Remote Start

I bought this for my mother who is on a full-time O2 machine. She recently had lost power to her house and was without her O2. This generator is exactly what she needed. Dual Fuel so she can have it stored with a propane tank attached and ready to go with the remote start. With plenty of power to keep her safe and comfortable in her own house.

Dual Fuel flexibility is awesome

Purchased my generator at the tail end of last winter. We haven't had to use it yet, but I test it periodically and love the electric start. I also like the idea of dual fuel (Propane and Gasoline). As I can use my grill's propane tanks as a backup in a really bad storm.

I'm not impressed

I'm not impressed 105 hours of a power outage and it never started. The unit has about 16 hours on it from previous use its 8 months old. not only did the auto start fail to start the unit its pull start wouldn't start it either. it fired about 2 seconds and blew the screen off on the exhaust in a backfire. It's cold start choke (Auto choke) moves to choke position but rotates back before the unit starts and floods it with gas. its got to be hauled to the shop so far customer service is a bit slow, but they responded. I'm hoping for a quick and easy warranty process and i will post an follow up of what the issue was.

I think it will be great.

I purchased it in Aug but didn't have time do you travel to start it for over a month. When I pushed the start button there was a Pop sound and the unit didn't try to start. Now the battery light doesn't come on until the generator is running. I can pull start it but can't sync the remote key fob until I can get this fixed.

Have to wait for loss of power grid, great so far!

Easy to put together out of the box. Like the "no mess" funnel supplied. Looks easy to maintain. Quiet as my 1400W Yamaha. Like the option of propane so I can store it on my enclosed porch with out the the fear of gasoline fumes. Can't wait for the opportunity to put it through it's paces. Remote start, really? Portable and easy start

I like the size, portability and the power but I wish there was a was to remote start up without power button having to remain on or the power could be remote started also. I had power button on and went to remote start and battery had gone dead, just when I needed it in the middle of the night.

Well built, high quality

I first bought a dura built generator. It seemed cheap and tinny when I assembled it. Out of the box it would run for 10 seconds and shut down. Produced no electricity. Got my money back . They didn't even want me to return it. What does that say about its value? I ordered the Westinghouse Wgen7500 DF. What a difference. This thing is quality from end to end. Easy straight forward assembiy. The accessories are heavy duty. Started right up and ran great on propane. Not wishing for another flood and power outage but I can't wait to test it under load.

My power outage worries are over!

This is my 3rd generator I have had and I truly believe this will be the last one. It started right up and works splendidly. I love the electric start and appreciate the trickle charger that came with it to keep the battery ready. Propane is there and ready always. Found out later this is what 2 of my neighbors have and they are very happy with their generators. I get lots of power outages living in the woods and since my house is wired with a transfer switch this makes it particularly easy to power the things I need. Thanks!

Well built, great features, easy setup

I bought this generator after a great deal of research into features, quality, and price. This is replacing my old stand-by generator that died after 10 years. After unpacking the WGEN7500DF, I was impressed with the rugged quality. It included a propane connector hose, spark plug wrench, oil, funnel for the oil and a charger for the battery. The wheels and front legs were installed in 10 minutes or less. The gauges and controls are mostly on the front panel. The gas gauge is on top and gas shutoff on the side. After filling the oil and connecting the battery terminals, I connected the propane tank with the included hose. This whole process took about a half hour but I carefully read the instructions to be sure everything was going to work properly. I checked the breakers, turned on the battery power, turned the lever to propane and pushed the power button on the remote control. It started immediately. I connected my water pump to put a load on it and let it run. It handled that without any problem. it shut down with the remote just as easily. The handle makes it easy to move the generator around. My first experience with this generator is very positive. It is a little loud but it isn't enclosed at this time which should make a difference. The oil drain location might make changing the oil a challenge but I think I can solve that. I would definitely recommend this generator because of its quality, gas or propane option, three options for starting, power, and ease of operation all for a reasonable price.
