Works Great

Ordered this for the fall and have had it out and running a few times it's great for around the house. The handle and wheel kit makes it easy to move around and getting it out of my garage.

Great Performance

This generator performed great to power my house with the exception of the stove, washer and dryer. It gave us the necessities we needed through each power outage that included having A/C and heat.

Great with either Gas or Propane

I bought this generator because my city experiences frequent power outages. It runs perfectly! It helped me keep the food in the freezer from spoiling. Additionally, I was able to run a fan to ensure the air was circulating throughout the house. In addition to choosing between gas or propane, it was the central point of purchasing this generator.

Easy Quick Start Guide

I purchased this 2 days ago and got it all set up in a very short time. Started right up on Propane. I don't intend to use gasoline at this time. I have since gone through 3 startups and shutdowns without a blink, even at 30 degrees F. I have only run it on light load at this point, but am looking forward to having it wired into my transfer switch for a whole house backup. The only thing I couldn't fine was the crankcase oil capacity. I wasn't sure if it would hold the entire quart of oil that was supplied. I may update this review after wiring in the transfer switch and testing under full load. Extremely pleased at this time.

Looks great

After 16 years of owning a house, and going through a few storms, we decided to buy a generator, we looked at other brands, but this one was definitely the one that has all the features we were looking for. It also looks great compared to other brands, I just wish it was a little less noisier.

So far so good, easy start

Just received the generator. I put the wheels on, put the oil in, turned the valve to propane, connected propane tank, pushed start, and it was humming in seconds. The oil filler funnel could be a bit longer as it just barely make sit. The instruction manual was slightly different than the unit I received. The setup instructions never mentioned putting in the oil. But there is a very clear tag on the oil filler saying oil needs to be added and the quart of oil that comes in the box should be a pretty big clue. So I can't imagine anyone missing it. The battery leads were already connected to the battery but there is now an inline connector which needs to be connected. Also pretty obvious and should be quite clear to anyone who has any business operating a generator.

No more worries!

I bought the generator after the last storm that left us without the power for 4 days! And this is 2nd time in a month we were without the power. Follow the manual and it started without any hiccups. No more worries about not having electricity when the power is out.

Leaked Gasoline

I purchased generator in Dec as a backup power for my house. It was fairly easy to get up and running. I like the machine and the features. Unfortunately, it immediately began to leak gasoline from the carburetor. Given the issues involved with trying to return a machine with gas and oil, I plan to get it fixed locally and hopefully get reimbursed by Westinghouse for my trouble.

Great machine

I've had this generator for about 10 Months. I bought it to be prepared for Hurricane season in Galveston County, TX. Have not needed it to date, but have started it and maintained it. The options on this thing are exceptional. Not even sure what option I like the most. Because I was the vice president of a construction company and bought many other brands for the company before I learned about Westinghouse - That was a mistake. Bottom line is that I've had Generac and others and will not make that mistake again. Go buy it.

Good product

I've only tested this so far and it seems to work well on both propane and gas. I bought it in case we have another power failure. We had an Interlock kit installed as well so we can tie it into the house. I think I'll be able to run most of our house with it. All except the AC. But, that's all we need. Looking forward to using it someday... well actually, I'd rather not have to use it. But, it's ready just in case.
