I did a lot of research prior to choosing this model. One of the key factors was the Westinghouse name. It' synonymous with quality. This is my first generator I have ever purchased. I'm convinced that it will suit my needs in the event of a power outage. Assembly was quick and easy. Opened carton, attached wheels, filled with oil and gas. It was a bonus that it came with a tool kit and oil. It even has a key fob to start remotely. I connected the battery, turned switch-on and attempted to start. It would crank but not start. I looked for a fuel prime button but did not see one. After reading the manual I noted the fuel cutoff switch was in the off position. I turned it on. Pushed start button and it fired right up !! Wow it was so easy. I turned it off and tried the remote start fob. Again it started immediately. I left it run for about 15 minutes prior to plugging anything into the outlet. It has 4 20 amp outlets. The engine did not even slow down. It is extremely quiet for its size. Less noise than my lawnmower. I also chose this model because it was dual fuel. I like the ability to have it run on either gas or propane. I have yet to use it in an emergency power outage but am confident it will meet my needs. I would recommend this unit. It's priced right, dual fuel and easy to operate. It also comes with a limited 3 year warranty.

My Generac gave up the ghost after 18 years, so I did extensive research before purchasing this generator. I was looking for a Generator that my wife could start without having to pull a cord. This Generator fit the bill. Assembly was easy. The instructions are straight forward & easy to follow. I like the maintenance schedule that came with the literature. The Generator looks powerful, hopefully we will not need it. I have not as yet started it due to a lack of time. I may start it this weekend and give it a small test drive.

I bought the generator last week and it would not start. The battery seemed dead and it would not start. I tried to contact Westinghouse Outdoor Power and the phone kept disconnecting. I finally got connected and Jathy informed me the battery was disconnected and how to connect it. He said he get 5-6 calls like this a day. the starter worked and the battery seems okay.

Received the product, put the feet and wheels on, added the oil, hooked up the propane, hit the electric start button and I was up and running. Can't really ask for more than that. Looking forward to many years of reliable service from this generator. Because you can't count on the government or power companies to keep the lights on anymore.

We purchased this model at the recommendation of our electrician. We learned that it would be a perfect solution to keeping the usual appliances, heat and hot water, lights, and computers and TV's working during a power outage. It's taking care of that nicely, and we are warm and happy. We might be limited in not being able to run the AC units, electric clothes dryer, and multiple electric burners on the stove at the same time, but that's a small price to pay for avoiding the cost of a whole house generator!

When I opened the box it was very easy to locate all the parts. After the small amount of assembly (wheels, feet, connecting battery, adding oil and fuel) I started it up and tested it with two refrigerators and ran my tankless water heater. I originally only wanted those items to have power if there is an outage, but with the ability to connect to my home with manual transfer switch I think I will go that route. Easy to start with the electronic switch or wireless remote starter.

I just received this generator with one minor blemish.. the frame was badly pushed in on one corner and when I tried to call the support number they were closed for the weekend.. So I plan on trying it and it there are no failures I'll probably just keep it.. after trying it for a few I'll update this review to reflect performance. Was purchased to replace a 5500/6750 watt generator with only a 20amp rv plug.. it still ran fine but a transfer switch rated at 30amps was installed and I wanted to utilize it's capacity. We have had a lot of power outages due to storms/wind and ice in the past year or so and I was tired of running extension cords all over the place.

I put the feet and wheels on in 5 mins and rolled it down to the garage, added the oil connected the battery and propane tank hit the start button and just like that ,she's purring like a kitten, so happy to now be prepared for our next outage ,the last one was 5 days and we lost a lot of food... never again! We got the generlink added to our hydro meter so we can easily and safely power up the entire house .

bought this generator for my trailer while my house is being built. it started up right out of the box and works flawlessly. the remote start lets my wife start it up from inside saving a trip outside. this will be a GIANT plus when it is snowing this upcoming winter

I have been researching generators for home back up and after many hours of this, I found that this unit (7500 DF) is the Best of the Best. This will power my whole house using gas or propane and is very easy to put together and operate via the newly installed transfer switch. I have no doubt that this unit will run for many years to come, giving peace of mind when the main grid goes down. Thank you Westinghouse for producing a generator I can count on when it matters!!!
