Extremely well built product

Purchased as a backup power source due to numerous power outages. Dual fuel capability and working power output a deciding factor. Extremely useful and clear instructions in the users manual. A minor issue: The only question I have is in the installation of the wheels. The pics and drawings are not clear on which side of the wheels face outboard; and the location of the washer on the axel. The assembly instructions show the washer between the wheel and frame in two renditions as opposed to the washer being outside the wheel in the parts list. I haven't had to use it yet so I only gave it a 4 star rating. If it works as well as it looks it is a 5 star.

Easy to use

We purchased the WGen7500DF dual fuel unit. I have not had any emergencies yet to use it yet but tested it and it was easy to set up and run. I tested it using propane gas. Whether using the remote start, push button, or pull chord it started up easy everytime. I haven't put it through a full load test but plan to set up a transfer switch to my breaker panel.

GREAT GENERATOR!

I live on the Gulf Coast and have to deal with Hurricane Season every year. Bought this generator to power some essentials and a few comfort items during power outages. Works great! Can even supply power to Hot Water Heaters, which makes my wife happy! You know...Happy Wife, Happy Life! The remote start works right on demand. I highly recommend this generator!

Great features but hard to start

This was a replacment for one I bought earlier on 4/30/23. I could not get the first one to start. I received the replacment on 5/23/23. It would not start on gas. I tried it on propane and it started. I then tried it on gas again and it would not start until I tap on the fuel solenoid. The next day it would not start until I tap on the fuel solenoid and manually moved the choke. That is three generators and all of them where hard to start and one would not start at all and I had to send it back.

Exceeded expectations

Installed at guest house.Owners manual was very thorough for set up and operation. I connected mine to the whole house thru an interlock switch and the 250 gal house propane tank. Works great, quieter than other generators I've used. Just in time for the latest planned power outage. No more pouring gasoline from unwieldy gerry cans and running extension cords everywhere.

Worth the money spent

Arrived before the shipment date. No dents and packing was good. Firstly, the generator ran on propane but not gasoline. Called the customer service( really helpful) made a case and received a reply through email before 24 hours for instructions to fix the issue. I fixed it within 2 mins .. really impressed.

WGen7500DF

Purchased this to keep the necessary appliances running during power outages, such as Fridge, sump pump, etc. Also wanted a unit that was easy to operate so the wife could use if needed. Love the remote start option, starts right up quickly. Have not had to put it to the test yet but very please with the purchase.

Produces plenty of power

Easy to unbox and assemble. Remote start works great and is very convenient. Produces plenty of power and doesn't bog down with high surge loads. Gas shutoff is easy to access. Included instructions were clear on how to convert the generator to a floating neutral (most homes with a transfer switch). It has enough power for a 18,000 watt AC, freezer, fridge, lights, two fans and lasts 9-10 hours on a full gas tank.

Easy to assemble, easy to break, won't start

The assembly was easy enough to apply the wheels and add oil. When moving the rig down a short stoop, the weld popped off on one of the wheel mounts (seemed to be tackwelded minimally). After fully charging the battery, I was never able to start the engine, even once. Currently working with customer support on what can be done.

Overall Very Happy

We ordered the WGEN7500DF because of the great reviews and the 3 year warranty. We were without power for 2 full days when hurricane Michael hit. We got it just in time! It arrived in perfect condition, and started on the first try. It kept our food cold and we had a little light. Powered by propane. We expected to get around 18-20 hours of use from a 20 pound propane bottle. Not so. 7-8 hours was all we got. The power draw was measured at around 2200 watts, measured by a device called "Kill-A-Watt". Also the power generated was not 120 Volts, but 116-118 Volts, and 55-57 Hertz (cylcles per second, alternating current).. Our computer and TV did not operate. A phone call for technical support was answered by a very well trained phone responder, but he said that our expectations were subject to individual variations, not necessarily product fault. He also said that the voltage/alternating current problem should be handled by a trained technician. I asked for a manual. He said it didn't exist. When asked if the adjustment would be covered by the warranty, he said he didn't know, a trained technician at Westinghouse could answer...He would have a tech call. 5 days later- no call. We will try again after the rush from hurricane Michael has subsided.
