This product was bought as a gift, being delivered straight to the recipient.  The bird house came missing the plastic/glass pieces on two sides.  It also came damaged at the side, like it had been dropped and busted but still packaged and mailed off, like no one would notice.

Poor handling and bad construction

This precious feeder actually exceeded my expectations as to how well built and how appealing to the eye it is. However, I bought it to replace a feeder I purchased recently because our previous large one broke from years of wear and tear. Our many cardinals weren’t having anything to do with the new one even after weeks of allowing them to get used to it, so I started searching for one that was touted as being conducive to them. Although this adorable feeder looks really great hanging from our double sided shepherd’s hook, it has received the freeze out from our red-feathered friends even though reviewers said their Cardinals liked it. One big positive is that the squirrels who call our backyard home have shown no interest in it, so that’s good! I’ll continue to research feeders that Cardinals really go for.
