I got this backpack for my 6 year old niece, can't go wrong with the design with all the popular princesses. I know her mom is going to love it too because the lunchbox is a detachable separate bag that easily attaches back on to the main backpack, which will be super convenient for placing her lunch in the lunch box and also for cleaning it, since it needs cleaning more frequently than the whole backpack. Also, the detach clips are easy to use, my niece could take off the lunchbox herself at lunch time too. A little worried that the lunchbox might flap around a bit, and you can't tighten the straps of the clips that attach it to the main bag. The bag itself is sturdy and has good padding for comfort on the straps. The backpack has a lined laptop section which I'm a little confused about, do kids need that for school, otherwise good for her tablet. Excited to see her reaction! My 6 year old daughter picked this hello kitty backpack and lunchbox set. First off she loves pink. Second she loves hello kitty. This backpack has hello kitty designs all over it and it is big enough to see it from a distance. You would be able to spot your little one out of the crowd for sure with how bright and vibrant it is. I love how you can attach the lunchbox to the backpack for easy carrying. You can also separate the lunchbox and just carry it. Usually we detach the lunchbox after it is empty and place it in the backpack. The lunchbox has a space for water bottles. Also the backpack has two spaces for water bottles. The lunchbox has two spaces on the it where you can keep two separate things cold. Inside the lunchbox is very spacious where you could put a food container in it. I usually also put ice pack to keep it cold until lunchtime. The backpack is a nice size. It is almost too big for my 6 year old but I don't think she minds the size. This is a very good set to have for school no matter the age but I think it would better fit a child in the 1st grade on up. My daughter is in the 1st grade and is a little on the small size. The backpack has two outside areas and a separate divider inside where I usually put her jacket, or a folder that stays in her backpack, or her car rider tag. With back to school quickly approaching, my daughter was on the hunt for a cute but functional backpack. She is a big Bluey fan and found what she was looking for with this darling Bluey backpack and lunchbox combo. Both the pack and lunchbox are well made with beautiful graphics. The pack features and image of the entire family, while the lunchbox has just the puppies. The two items coordinate through the use of a light blue material with an all over puppy pattern. The main characters in the graphics are even outlined in embroidery, which gives them a cute, more polished finish versus a backpack that simply screenprints the graphics on. The embroidery also gives them a bit of a 3D appearance. A great feature is that the lunchbox will snap right to the backpack with the two attached clasps. There are the necessary pockets in the pack—a front pocket for little school supplies or snacks and an inner pocket to hold folders or notebooks. A bonus is that the padded inner pocket has the cute printed Bluey patterned fabric from the outside of the backpack. There are also outer pockets on both the backpack and lunchbox that would be suitable for holding a small water bottle; an oversized bottle would not fit. Small school supplies such as pencils and pens may even well in better in those outside pouches than a small water bottle would. The lunchbox is insulated and with silver lining and is roomy. The lunchbox doesn't have any dividers, so it will make it easy to pack meals of any size and shape. The downfall of the lunchbox is that it isn't very deep, so fitting a small thermos or a drink bottle inside might be a bit of a challenge. Both the backpack and the lunchbox have zip closures. Really cute two pack that is a little big for my 4 year old but will fit 6 year old perfectly! The lunch bag at the front is absolutely perfect and super easy to wear but because of the weight it does pull forward. I wish the strap could be tightened. The lunch bag and backpack have multiple pockets for easy organization and the lunch bag is insulated which is a bonus. There is also a glittery finish on the bag which my daughter loves and can't be seen in the pictures clearly! I received an incentive to write this review.

My five year old son is so excited to receive this backpack for Kindergarten. It's the perfect size for him and he's about 40 lbs. The backpack is well made, and comfortable on his arms and shoulders. We also really liked that the lunchbox attaches to the outside of the bag so that he can carry everything all together without smashing his lunch. The lunchbox is well insulated and easily wipes up when it gets dirty. There is also plenty of room in the box for a bento box or any containers for food. I bought this as a gift. It looks sturdy I'm hoping It wears well and lasts a while. I will not be seeing it so I won't know what happens to it.
