The flavor wasn't what I was expecting and it was an overall disappointment. Not to say that it was bad, just unexpected. Its not for me personally though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a hidden valley ranch night where we used the hidden valley Alfredo packet in my personal recipie as well as the hidden valley buttermilk chicken seasoning mix. I did not use a full 2 pounds of chicken and knew I shouldn't have used the whole packed but I did. Its good but as I knew would most likely happen it was a bit too salty. Though again this was entirely my fault for not using less of the packet or more chicken. The sauce makes a nice little gravy, not a lot but a little with the fat and oil from the baked chicken. I cut my chicken a bit to stuff more seasoning into it.

Really, if I hadn't known it was a ranch taco mix, I probably wouldn't have noticed it was anything but taco mix. It wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't ranchy enough. It was kinda disappointing. It did make pretty good Rancho Taco Salad Nachos though.

Let me start by saying we are no avid everyday cookers at all. Cooking usually brings tears and chaos to my wife who never learned to cook. So when we recieved this sample i was excited to know it was an easier item to use. All we had to do was put it into a bowl and rub the chicken in it. For once i got something that was not blah. The one thing that really caught my attention was the flavor. This flavor was unique. All the products on the market are the same ole buffalo, ranch, buttermilk. This one was unique and different I am definitely not one that likes anything spicy at all. I dont even like pepper. This seasoning was not too spicy at all. The ranch and the taco mixed together made it the perfect taste. This is definitely going into a regular routine for us. Its a winner due to no prep time, taste, and it is sooo easy to use. Not to mention the price is one of the cheapest on the markets. Hidden Valley Ranch Night Seasoning Mix - Rancho Taco is a must try. I only used it on chicken but i cant wait to use it for dips and others things. Its multi use is great. We used chicken breasts but i can only imagine how great wings would taste. A must try for all families who have no time to cook. Or are just constantly running around like we are. Not to mention the kids loved this one.
