[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hidden Valley Ranch Night Seasoning Mix - Buttermilk Chicken as a free trial product from PINCHme in return for my honest review. I did not use the packets for the dishes they were actually intended for (even though the instructions were very clear and understandable), but used them to flavor other dishes such as dips. mashed potatoes and rice. They all turned out great with no need to add any other seasonings or spices. The only thing I would possibly change is the rather high Sodium content (which however contributes to the good flavor overall).

We don’t eat spicy so usually the package outside are spicy so I rarely buy them and always make my own. As much as we love tacos my recipe is the same all the time so it does get boring. I saw this Rancho Taco seasoning and figured to try it out for something different. It’s super easy to make and delicious. This seasoning is flavorful and not as spicy as the others I’ve try. It smells yummy and the aroma mask the beef and turkey smell that we usually get in the house. Will definitely be our go to taco Tuesday staple.

I fileted the breasts then cut them in half, so they would cook a little quicker and be well coated with seasoning. The flavor was good - not too strong and not too salty for my taste, and I could definitely taste the buttermilk. I served it with rice and a vegetable and my picky teenagers enjoyed the meal. I will definitely be purchasing this again!

But I made up some taco meat for some soft tacos and used the Rancho Taco seasoning instead of regular taco seasoning and they loved it! Huge hit everyone wanted seconds! Why 3 stars, you ask? The ingredients are terrible. GMO cornstarch, added flavors and preservatives are just a few. It was fun to try but I would never pay money for that quality.
