DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. I ordered this gift of membership gift card for my brother and sister-in-law for their anniversary. I went to the club with him to activate his membership and when they tried using this gift card to pay for it, it wouldn't work. Come to find out that they mailed me an inactive card. Trust me, you DO NOT want the headache of trying to actually talk to a real person on their customer service line and then getting put on hold and transferred. Sam's Club has obviously outsourced their customer service to a different country. I got hung up on multiple times. The day we tried to activate the card was a Saturday. When we finally got through to the gift card department she told me it would have to be transferred to their internal department, who is only available on weekdays. So I had to wait until Monday for someone to call me back and the connection was so bad on their end I couldn't hear her. Thankfully she emailed me and we were able to finish everything through email which was so much easier. I was given a choice of them activating the gift card for $50 and receiving the additional $10 as an e-gift card (since the memberships are now $60) or getting a refund. I opted for the full refund to my original form of payment which was put into my account 8 business days later (supposed to arrive in 5-7 business days). I'm glad that my issue was finally resolved, but trust me you don't want to deal with this. Give them the money instead!

I ordered this online. They sent me an inactivated card. This card was a gift for someone and I get a text from the gift recipient saying that the card wouldn't work at the Sam's since it wasn't activated. Over 30 minutes on the phone waiting for customer service to fix this, while talking every 30 seconds to an AI agent who kept trying to end the call. Then I finally get to talk to and they hang up on me.

Do not order if you need it by a certain day. i placed an order and it said it would be here the day before I needed it, I call that day to try and cancel since it still had not been shipped and they say they can't cancel it and so I ask if I can return it once or finally gets shipped and arrived and am told no you can't return gift cards. so now i have to wait and it won't be here in time and there's nothing they will do about it. This was my first and last time ordering a gift membership. terrible customer service at well for all that I spoke to.
