It is truly amazing - believe the good reviews

I can't emphasize enough how wonderful the experience of purchasing, receiving and building this greenhouse has turned out to be. Truly, believe the positive reviews. Ordering was easy - we waited roughly three weeks for the greenhouse to arrive (we are in northern Maine). Seven boxes were delivered. Each box contained carefully packaged pieces (lots and lots of pieces!). The instructions are incredibly clear. I am very experienced in building, and this had the feel of a giant, adult lego project :). We had cleared and leveled a platform prior to building, and we used four inches of mid-sized pea gravel as the base. Also used flat pavers for the corners. Note that we elected not to build the included pergola, as we decided there was just "too much going on" with the aesthetics. It took me roughly 24 hours total to complete the build (again, I am fairly experienced with projects of this sort, so take that into consideration). Suggestion: It is critical to be mindful of the importance of squaring the initial frame and making sure it is level. Do that properly ... and the rest of the build is spot on. Suggestions for the manufacturer: Only one thing (truly)...suggest that you recommend using an awl punch to help pierce through the various pieces of flashing prior to using the screws. The current screws aren't self tapping, and it is very difficult to get them to penetrate through the siding alone. Other than that....my Lord this was a fun project. Absolutely recommend. After the build, I then leveled and created the raised bed garden in front. Now all we need to do is wait until Spring!

We LOVE our greenhouse!

We absolutely love our Bellerose 11 x 13 greenhouse! It's beautiful and great quality, sturdy, squares up nicely, had plenty of extra hardware, and has some nice features such as the shelving, the back wall for hooks, the exhaust fan and the hose hook up. We definitely compared lots of different options before purchasing, and we feel like this one gave us the best size and quality for the money. And in the end, it was well worth it to go with cedar. Although it's quite a long assembly manual, it's very detailed and doable if you just take it step-by-step. They provide an online video tutorial, but we actually just preferred the paper manual. Just pay attention to the pilot holes and the notes in red and you won't have any issues. All in all the hardware is quality and each piece was marked well. There was only a handful of times where the pilot holes didn't lineup perfectly. But nothing that caused any major problems. Get the roof sections squared was a little challenging, but wr expected that to be the case. We recommend using a square throughout assembly of each section to help ensure that the whole thing will be in square at the end. My husband and I assembled this together and it took us a total of 45 hours over the course of a week. We are very detailed people and my husband tends to take things slowly when assembling to make sure there are no mistakes. So there could definitely be people out there who could do it quicker than we did. Those 45 hours included moving the boxes from our driveway to the backyard location, and also opening the boxes and inventorying everything. Just those two things took 3-4 hours, but it was an important part of the process and made things go quicker later. We highly recommend laying out all of the cedar alphabetically for ease of finding each piece during the building process. We also did the same for the hardware. There is a lot of it, so you'll definitely want to order it numerically. We used one of the large cardboard boxes to lay out all of the hardware numerically. And we were also able to write on the cardboard to label the top of each column. For example 100s, 200s etc. since each bag of hardware is labeled with a number. That way we knew exactly where to go when we had to find a certain piece. It was a definite timesaver in the end. One other thing that we found to be helpful was for one of us to gather the pieces required for the next step while the other one was assembling the parts in the previous step. Teamwork makes the dream work! ;) Side note: we decided to have a concrete pad poured as the base, with a trench drain down the middle for drainage. We poured the pad and additional 12 inches in both length and width as compared to the footprint of the greenhouse. If you go this route be sure to check the exact specs because it's not exactly 11 x 13 (it's 11'6” x 13'11'). And you'll want to decide if you want the pergola to be on the concrete pad or not. We opted for not, and we will just put small concrete footers under the posts of the pergola. We also just wanted to note that we purchased our own 2 x 4 cedar planter for the center since there was so much room in there. We also purchased some string lights for the perimeter and hanging pots for the back wall. So you will see these things in our photos, but they did not come with the greenhouse. Bottom line, we highly recommend this greenhouse and can't wait to start using it.

Really Terrific Product

Finished building our Bellerose Greenhouse about a month ago. Spectacularly well thought out product. I was consistently impressed with the thoughtful detail that went into this. I cannot say enough good things. To make this review useful, i will talk about the challenges i had... this does not make this a negative review, but helps others building theirs to anticipate and avoid problems. We oiled all the wood first - this was 2-3 days worth of work - i stickered it to dry and then laid all the wood out on 5 tarps - there are a LOT of pieces. Get a big table (or two) to lay all the hardware out on in numerical order (there are over a thousand hardware bits that go into this - if you are not organized you will waste a lot of time searching) - for often used screw and washer sizes small containers make life easier. They GENEROUSLY include all sorts of drill bits and tools (including a 90 degree bit adapter that i only discovered after i bought one to complete the job ;)... the instructions do not note when they have included the tool you need (simple fix for Backyard Discovery) As noted in other reviews the blue protective film on metal parts is a PAIN IN THE BUTT to remove - i did it in front of the TV at night and it took several episodes and left my fingers raw. I did have one part that was improperly bent. They sent a replacement which was also incorrect so i clamped it between two boards and used c-clamps to "tighten" the channel (it should have been a U and it was a V which caused the piece to not lay flat and be a dirt collector - easy fix... but something that should be corrected on BD end of things) Plastic protective window film being pinched between parts was noted by someone else. Where i assembled the parts i peeled the film back an inch before putting on channels this let me keep the protection but not have to deal with the pinch. Pre assembled panels were tricky, but mostly with pressure and careful peeling you could get it out. Sometimes an exacto was required and in a few small areas i still have a bit of film that i simply could not get out. No one will ever notice but me and a month later i don't even know if i could find it back. For 99% of this the fit was absolutely wonderful. Better than i would have imagined possible with wood (which warps, twists and has a mind of its own...). A few of the lap joints on the roof were proud (not cut deep enough so that the wood did not lay flat). I used a chisel on these to remove a bit more wood and get a proper fit (otherwise there would have been a bump which would bend the channel that you have to slide the roof panels through). One notable challenge was inserting the roof panels. The rafters are secured in several steps before the roof panels are inserted. At some point a few of my rafters were tooo close together to make it possible to insert the panel. I tired loosening the rafters but there were secured too many times. In the end reversing a bar clamp to be used as a spreader proved to be the perfect and super easy solution... If you take one thing away from this review, let it be this. When you get to this step you will thank me ;) This thing is a LOT to put together. For the most part it is a one person job... but it helps to have an assistant to pull parts and hardware. My 12 yr old daughter LOVED this job and made my life SUPER easy! There are only a few times when it is necessary to have two adults to attach larger sections together. That being said, for all the work, it was a joy. Thoughtful and well constructed at every turn it was a pleasure to assemble. I cannot recommend this greenhouse enough. The hardest part was the level spot in our hilltop yard ;) Once we had the foundation the Greenhouse went up like a dream!

I love my greenhouse!

This took me a couple months to assemble. Definitely the foundation was the most difficult and time-consuming part of the project. There aren't instructions for that, so be ready to do a little research if you're unfamiliar. We looked up gravel shed foundations. The passive ventilation system was not enough to cool it where I live, so I added a misting system. Adding lights soon since it's getting darker earlier and earlier where I live. I love this greenhouse! It's beautiful, it's fun! I wish they'd had the XL version when I bought mine in the spring. I haven't really had the chance to use it yet because I got it for houseplants and it's already starting to get too cold at night where I live, but I'm very excited for next spring! The quality of the fasteners, hardware, and wood was fantastic. It didn't feel like it should be as affordable as it all was. I'm a technical writer as my job and I was impressed by the physical instruction manual (they are accurate, the pictures are almost always very clear, with great angles selected to get the most information across), but you do have to be a little on your guard with them. Sometimes, if you weren't really paying attention, you could do a step that looked very similar to a previous one and not realize there was a subtle change, like one part was upside down now. So you might end up doing it wrong while being very confident you were doing it right. (If whoever does the instructions reads this, you could add warnings that the orientation of a part is different from previous similar steps.) So yeah, pay careful attention to each step, and especially to any red text. And look for addendums before you get started and tuck them into the manual! You will need two physically strong people to do the roof. I (a somewhat wimpy lady in her early thirties) was not able to contribute much with some of the roof assembly steps. If I didn't have two strong folks to help me I could not have finished this project.

Great features, quality materials & well designed.

Ordered this in the spring, it arrived in the summer and I just built it last week. The quality of the materials and hardware seems very good. It is nice that extra hardware is included. There are a LOT of materials! It is very helpful to pre-sort all the materials and lay them out in groups to save yourself a lot of time. I still had to spend a lot of time finding hardware and materials. The instructions are fairly well written and easy to follow, just make sure you play close attention to the photos.Carefully read through the instructions on each step at least twice to make sure you don't miss anything and assemble it correctly. Was very impressed during the assembly and construction with how sturdy and secure everything was going together. I will be very impressed with this greenhouse as long as it holds up to the Wyoming weather for years.

Perfect greenjouse

This is a great purchase! Looks very attractive set up and has already been through a New Mexico wind storm with no problem. The communication on delivery was also wonderful- we live in a remote area and often have issues with package delivery. Not so for this- they made it smooth and stress free. Absolutely worth the cost. Thank you!

Great structure!

I could not be happier with this outstanding greenhouse! I would definitely advise sorting all the parts before building to save a ton of time (maybe add a color code with the part numbers?) Well worth the price! Looking forward to many years ahead gardening!

Best green house on the market for the price.

We bought our green house back in June. This is the best value on the market because it comes with everything, exhaust fan, power strip, shelves and hose bib. None of the other green houses we looked at had anything close to these options.

Masterpiece of Gardening Joy

Not going to lie. The assembly was a lot. There are a lot of distinct pieces and the staining is also a bit much. BUT that being said it is an amazing greenhouse. Incredibly sturdy and spacious. My Wife loves it ...probably more then me Jk.

Great product, well designed!

This is a great product, and was very well-designed. Step-by-step instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Features like foldable tables, and hanging plant hooks were nice touches. Tables were quite sturdy. One of my helpers, a reasonably heavy guy, stood on one before I could stop him, but it held up nicely. There was a little extra hardware included, so no worries running out of parts. It makes a very attractive addition to our new patio. And my wife loves it, so that's what matters. If I did one of these again: * I would try to seal the wood before assembly to allow for more complete coverage. * I would adjust the order of operation for the roof assembly to allow assembly with only one person without requiring a "helper." * I'd be a little more careful not to cross-thread bolts and nuts. Again, I had a lot of fun with this project, and would highly recommend this company. I'm planning to order a different kit in the future.
