Poor Wet Weather Tire

Bought this tire and have 15,000 miles on tires and wet weather traction is terrible. constantly spins from a stop condition. Almost lost truck down boat ramp from tires spinning when trying to pull a empty boat trailer up ramp. Will not buy again, complete waste of money.

Performs well but are loud.

Just bought a second set for my wife’s AWD CR-V. Pros: ride and handle great. Look good. Based on previous set they are great in light to moderate snow. Cons: they are LOUD. Constant drone at highway speeds. Previous set was much quieter until they were 1/2 wore out. Not sure if there was a change in tire compound or slight design change but they are very annoying. Much louder than the KO2s and Falken Wildpeak AT3s that I have run on my truck. Probably going to replace with something else after the winter season.

Best tire made at fantastic price. Buy USA

Google tires made in USA. Let’s face it, America makes great products that support local economies. ( I love “good-RICH” for my use) Did you know rubber deteriorates when exposed to sea water. Imported products take time to get here. You get what you pay for. Expect to pay more at first Your reward is not buying for Another 60,000 to 70,000 miles (estimate savings 60%) See a feel the tire before it is installed onto a wheel Especially the sidewalls. Make sure it is firm and thick. Cheaper tires look bowed with no wheel. Walmart offers great prices on tires. 5% -8% savings. Installed and balanced at 30% less than competitors price. So today I saved. $125. 4 years savings. $800 (based on 15000 miles per year)

Improved in all areas

have been in the tire sales Industry for 17 years. I am a goodyear guy throught and through. I also only buy sell and drive old Police vehicles. So my 2014 Tahoe PPV which takes a odd 265/60r17 V rated tire is hard to find stuff. the Eaqgle RS-A's are the police Standard besides the Firehawk Pursuit which are both WAY OVERPRICED. the good year from 10 years working at goodyear are laking in life and wet grab. the other tires were the Newer General Justice, not a general fan from my experience and time spent in the industry. Then the pathetic Nexen, not even on a ememies car. I am More than amazed and Surprised how much Quieter these Advantage T/A Sports are. Wet traction is definably better as well. My only Gripe would be the New Tread Depth. When I first sold some years ago I thought they looked like Snow Tires, but always heard good reviews.

Very Pleased

We put these on our 2018 AWD CR-V Touring, replacing the OEM tires and it is so much better. The ride is more quiet and smooth, the handling has improved and they even look better on the vehicle. We have found the perfect tire for our needs and wants.

Jack of all trades, master of none

2018 CX5 AWD owner - FL driver, and weather. These tires made my short list because they are 3 peak snow flake rated and have pretty good ratings. This mattered to me because I'm approaching a time when we'll be road-tripping to colder states and will inevitably encounter the wintry stuff. Best word to describe these: compromise. They don’t seem particularly excellent at anything, just a great jack of all trades which has an upper hand in wintry conditions vs A/S tires. These will do 95% as good a job tires like the Premier LTX or similar – yet are far superior in winter, less $$, and from reviews it seems they actually go the distance with their rated mileage. I've always had Michelins in my vehicles and they always wear out at about half their warranty rating. I hope the following will give you a feeling of what these feel like in my GT: Handling: less of a knife, more like a spatula. With that said, they aren't fully broken in yet. Wet traction: So far so good except one red light I spun tires a little, but it might just be the release agent because they are new. Drove over deep puddles at speed, yet I couldn’t break them lose.. they just bit the road. Dry traction: It’s an SUV not a race car. They do just fine. Comfort: they are on the softer side it appears – maybe a little bouncy. However you can feel every grit on that pavement. It’s as if they don’t isolate the texture from the driver, instead they transmit it straight to the steering wheel + seats. Not sure if this is a plus or a minus, but in my case, I'm not loving that too much. Yet don’t confuse this with noise. Feeling is different from hearing. NOISE... oh the noise many complain about. This was the category in the reviews which made me hesitate at getting these, but in the end I guess I took the dive. I will divide this part into subjective as well as objective: Subjectively (personally) I do feel they are a little louder, but not much - maybe 1 or 2 decibels. The added road feel I think plays a trick with your brain to make you think they are louder than they are (combining the actual noise with the gritty feel on some concrete roads). Objectively (with a decibel app on my Samsung Note 10) – shocking enough - they aren’t louder. I tested on my car, on a stretch of road at 50 and 60 mph. accessories off, windows closed, stereo off. 50mph = 70 decibels. 60mph = 72-74 db. 70mph: 74-76 db. Here’s the interesting thing: I immediately went and test drove a BRAND NEW 2021 CX5 GT with stock Toyo A36s which are the original tires for this car– and I got the EXACT same #s / db ranges. . New OEM tires seem to be just as loud (or quiet however you want to interpret) as these. IF there is a difference, I’d argue it’s subjective and does not exceed 1-2db. However the stock tires do seem to isolate the road feel better, which might explain why they might come across as quieter. One thing these tires DO have is a little humming noise. It’s there, it’s present, yet not intrusive. If you roll down your windows, you can hear it outside bouncing off the curbs and walls and such. This car does a decent job at hiding it with the windows up but it's still there. Overall, for the promise of added traction in winter conditions, I think it's a solid tire. I don't think anything else out there really combines these features with the promised mileage these have. Oh and looks wise... smoking! I hope this helps!

Fantastic in snow and rain.

I purchased these tires in October of 2019 to replace a set of touring tires on my Equinox. I live in the snow belt of Michigan and I can tell you these tires walk thru the snow like its a summer day. I love the beefy look of them too! With the touring tires that came with the Equinox, rain on the road was always causing steering issues. Not with the Advantage tires! Great job BF Goodrich. Your tires have never disappointed me.

Better traction.

I bought a set of these for my RAM truck last week so I could get better traction in rainy conditions. So far I notice a big difference from my original tires. The design of the tire seems to be a good fit for my truck as I usually drive around town and some highway, not much off road. Will see how they perform going forward, but so far so good!

While it stopped snowing after I bought these, I’m not sure how good they are in the snow. While I have no major issues with the tire, they continuously slip in the rain on one specific road by my house. It occurs in a turn where the road is slanted/angled going downhill. Not a Streep turn, but not flat either. So, I lack confidence turning in the rain with any grade downhill.

Poor snow high road noise

I bought my two tires a couple weeks ago. I noticed immediately they were approximately 6x louder and with recent snow yesterday, less than 1 inch, I almost went off driveway trying to make turn ... the vehicle did NOT turn. I would have been better to get half used Goodyear tires than these!!! I would never never never recommend these if you live anywhere where the possibility of snow exists -- IMO, they are dangerous.
