The ridge around the edge of the hot plate allows users to slot the bowl within the groves, which prevents the plastic of the bowl from heating up and melting onto the popcorn, as was the case with my last popcorn maker that was similarly designed.

This is such a funner way to make popcorn than throwing a bag in the microwave. My kids were able to help me measure out the oil and the kernels and they loved watching the popcorn pop. This machine makes everything so simple too! The measuring lid is divided in three sections which makes it easy to fill up one section of kernels for a small bowl or all three sections for a large bowl of popcorn. I love that the lid is not only a measuring device, it also snaps onto the top of the bowl so that when the popcorn is done popping you invert the whole machine and you have your popcorn bowl right there, lessening the amount of dirty dishes. The stirring feature is amazing as well. I don’t have to worry about any of my kernels burning. Awesome popcorn maker!!

Made excellent popcorn but have only used this device about 6 times since purchasing in Sep 2023. My big complaint is that I've had some problems with getting the stirring bar back into its proper place after cleaning. I'm at the point now where the knob isn't coming off completely and the stirring bar won't go back into place. It also appears that the housing rotation mechanism is too high because it doesn't sweep the kernels until they start to pop. It's' a real bummer that it looks like I won't be enjoying popcorn again with this device.

First, my kids love to be able to watch the popcorn actually pop, this isn't something they could do with microwave popcorn. The maker does an amazing job of having nearly every kernel popped. We had hardly any not pop...no waste! It is super convenient since it has a bowl attached to it and when you are done, it is incredibly easy to clean up. I highly recommend this popcorn maker to anyone!!

This is the best popcorn maker I have ever used! So convenient, does not burn the popcorn because it keeps stirring, and it is such a cute addition to the move night. Always fresh popcorn during the movie time. The fact you can just turn the machine and use the cover as the bowl is amazing. I am in love with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so looking forward to getting this. I would like to suggest that you consider adding a cover snap to the large bowl lid. I pick it up and shake it to bring the unpopped kernels to the center as several end up in by the handles. The taste of the popcorn is tender and wonderful taste. So much better than using my kettle.

The popcorn function works well. Pops almost all kernels without burning. But not being able to remove nonstick plate from the base does not make sense. Why was it designed that way? Because of this, you cant wash the non stick plate. You have to wipe it to clean. Am I missing something?
