I used to use a Keurig for my coffee. Then it got expensive and then I switched to a regular coffee maker. When I switched to the regular coffee maker, I started off using Maxwell House. That stuff was horrible, I don't know what they did to their coffee. Needless to say, I decided to try Folger's. I didn't realize what I was missing after the first sip. From that day on, I will only drink Folger's. I don't even drink any of those fancy coffee house coffees or specially blended coffees. Just give me a good old cup of Folger's from the red can. Your coffee is the smoothest and easiest on the stomach. Keep up the great coffee work.

I’ve been using Folgers classic roast for year but the last two containers I’ve purchased have had a bizzare smell and taste. I thought the first container had just gone bad but the brand new one does too. The smell is hard to describe but I’d say it’s kind of a bitter, acrid smell. I didn’t change place of purchase, storage method, or anything else.

I have on hand at least 4 Classic coffee containers, "for lack of what weight they are", I keep them because I buy them on special, they keep, and most of the time we purchase them under $5.00 each. I won't drink anything but Folgers coffee, it is the flavor I like, and why change something you like, I drank Folgers coffee since I was at least 10 years old, now that is history, I have tried others, there are friends I have I only sip a cup of their coffee, it just has not got the flavor, and I refuse to cheat myself on what taste good, why should we, if you like a product and it does not change, well I say stay with it, I like strong coffee, I came from Texas and the Louisiana Bayou, and down there they love their strong coffee, when I move North I just adopted Folgers, and have stayed with it, like I said, "you like something why change." Thank you

Something very bad has happened to our morning mainstay! For generations, both my husband's and my own, have boasted about Folger's Classic Roast being the only coffee that is just plain wonderful coffee. In fact, we've been known to travel miles out of the way, just to get a cup of this (once-upon-a-time) perfect joe -- alas, no more! A couple of months ago, we invested (invested, because of the huge price increases of late) in twelve giant (51OZ.) tubs for our business and personal enjoyment. However, instead of that heavenly coffee "whoof" when one first pulls back that silver protective lining, we have been knocked out by an acrid, chemical-plastic odor! Furthermore, when it is brewing, the fumes are overwhelmingly epoxy -- in other words, the coffee aroma is overpowered with an epoxy-like odor that is very toxic. One of my favorite things in the morning is to wake up the smell of beautiful, delicious, and healthy coffee brewing in our Bunn. Alas, no more -- so, this morning I had had enough (hence, this review) -- As with most mornings lately, we had to throw the whole thing out and wash everything the coffee had touched. The toxicity of the grounds we have experienced in several of these tubs has even lead us to doctors -- we have been experiencing swollen tongues, etc. indicative of having ingested a toxic substance. After extensive research, we have located the source, Folger's Classic Coffee! Please, please, do something because we really love your coffee and your company, but we can no longer drink it because it is damaging our health! As far as storing, brewing, etc . . . we always store them in a cool, dark, and dry location. The brewing is done in either a very clean, well-maintained Bunn coffee maker - or - a stainless steel French press. The results are the same. Thus, as someone earlier stated: Something very wrong has happen to this once beautiful mainstay, Folger's Classic Coffee. Very sincerely, a life-long customer.

As others have noted somethings going on with Folgers. It’s gotten a strange flavor, bitter about half way through the 30.5 can. I’m a die hard loyal Folgers customer and love the taste of your coffee. As such I’ve purchased a new can after being with Chock Full O Nuts which has a similar flavor to Folgers but isn’t bitter at all. Folgers has to go back to the metal package PLEASE, plastic could be a cause. Coffee tastes like what it’s stored around. The tin steel can keeps the coffee fresh!! Like a bank Vault guys!! The Folgers in plastic smells off about half way through. What’s goin on!!??

The Folgers coffee has become too nasty to drink. I changed the water. Different containers. Just bought 3. I think I will return them and find another brand. By the way. Be honest. Too many people complain about the Folgers classic roast. Stop denying it. It is broken and needs fixen. This is one of our enjoyments in a broken world. Fix the coffee!!

Longtime Folgers Classic drinker here. Never have had an "anomaly" experience as indicated by some reviewers. Instead, I've experienced tried-and-true reliability with each canister of this blend. I trust Folgers and this fine product to help me start the day. Looking forward to sampling one of the 'Noir' blends soon.

I am so happy I found this flavor coffee! I know it is just the Classic Roast but it has the best flavor to me! Since I have tried it 6 years ago I have never strayed! I am a faithful consumer and want to thank you for making every morning refreshing to me! Especially being the fact that I am an above knee amputee..I need a little pick me up before I attempt to put my leg on every morning!! Thank you!!!!

I buy Folgers classic roast religiously for years. I rec’d a tub with best before Dec 25 2025. The coffee smells weird and tastes like an ashtray with the worst aftertaste. I picked up another today. Best before Dec 8 2025 so a younger can. It is as expected. Wonderful. I wondered if I got a bad batch but now reading these comments I’m concerned my good can is a one off. Seeing it was produced prior to my bad can.

The last two canisters I've purchased have been a very dark roast. Why? I will not buy anymore. I thought maybe it was labeled wrong the first time. But, for it to happen twice. Evidently, you have changed your coffee without a public announcement. You have lost a customer.
