Pleasantly Impressed

Bought these Latitude Tour HP tires since the original tires are no longer available for my Lincoln Aviator. Noticed that the ride is smoother and quieter than the old tires which were also Michelin. The handling on highways also feels better. I didn't really have any complaints about the old tires, but these are even better. I'm not sure if they would be as good off-road since the tread design seems slightly different than the old LTX tires, but that's not an issue for me. Haven't driven in snow yet, but so far I'm very happy with the results.

Still doing great

This tire lives up to what I was told it would be. Good wet traction and secure handling gives me peace of mind knowing my wife has these on her SUV. Tread wear is holding up pretty good after two years. They look sharp too. I'm happy with my purchase.

The original equipment ...

The original equipment tires for my 2003 BMW X5 4.6is were the 20" Michelin 4x4 Diamaris "High Performance" tires, but they developed a droning noise after 15,000 miles, so I replaced them with Michelin Latitude Tour HP tires and couldn't be more pleased. The Latitude Tour HP tires give a much better ride, are much quieter and are "all-season" so are good in snow, where as the Diamaris tires gave no traction in snow since they are a summer tire. I highly recommend the Latitude Tour HP tires.

Poor Mileage

Bought four Latitude Tours from the big membership store several months ago. Love the ride and grip, but after more than 2,000 miles my MPG is still much lower than before: 15-20% lower, with the same vehicle, same roads, same driver, same odometer, and the same calculator. This tire is supposed to save gas, but it is costing me beaucoup gas with every fill up. VERY disappointed in the Latitude Tours. Look elsewhere.

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP tires. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Not a good experience

These tires did not work for us. They came standard on our MDX and the original tires lasted 30k miles. Got those replaced with same tires - which lasted only 23k miles and were found to be defective. We received a credit for replacement and put on 4 new replacements of the exact same tire. This time, my wife experience a blowout on the left rear tire while driving on a two lane highway. The tire complete shredded, with the tread separating from the sidewall. Thankfully she did not have a head on collision. The tire was about a year and a half old at this point and had approx. 12k miles on it. The full set was determined to be defective with signs of tire rot. My wife is not an aggressive driver (to say the least). These tires apparently do not hold up well in hot weather climates. We received a credit and purchased replacements of a different brand.

Good while dry and dangerous when wet. Longevity poor!

Tire is fine during dry conditions. Noise is low and good grip and handling. On the other hand when raining and wet conditions you are gripping the steering wheel like your life depends on it. No grip or control actually quite dangerous and scary. The wear and longevity of these tire are not as advertised. 55,000 mile warranty hahaha. At 35,000 currently and we are looking to get new tires. I would advise looking at alternative tires

SPECTABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

I've driven on Michelin tires, both all season radials and winter specific tires, for the duration of my memory. My current vehicle came with these Michelin tires as standard equipment, but I would have changed to them had it not. The confidence, safety, ride quality and overall handling characteristics I experience with them are unsurpassed. I will have nothing else on my vehicles. The price is inconsequential when compared to the benefits these tires bring to the consumer.

Beware----Poor tread life

I bought a 2016 Ford Escape and it came with these tires. At 25,000 miles now, I have to replace them (ALL 4 are the same) as the wear bar is even with the remaining tread. For a 55,000 mile tire this is unacceptable. I have bought Michelin tires for many years but I am switching to Goodyear. Goodbye Michelin!

Great Tires

These came on a mid size Lexus SUV, we are going to replace them after 40K miles. They have at least 10K remaining for a southern climate, they are worn enough that we feel we should replace them for this winter (it's my mother's car, I personally would wear them until the belts show but that's just me). The ride and handling on these (and other michelins we've had) are the best we've ever experienced.

Exceptional Ride and Control

I did a lot of online research and the Latitude Tour HP kept coming up as the best tire for my purposes. I was right. The ride is quiet and smooth. Control on turns is crisp. I have no hesitation in buying the tire the next time around - unless, of course, Michelin comes out with a better one for my needs.
