It's compact, yet can be raised up. I love the big step, not only do get to stand on it, you use it to open and close that ladder. It's pretty cool. It has wide back feet. The top part has a place for tools which makes it really convenient.

Love the versatility of this ladder! Especially when working on stairs or up against the wall. Super lightweight and a bonus that the top cap has a place to put my screws and drill for projects. The price was great too!
