Yes the griddle is removable for washing but the probe holes could still get wet. Our last griddle( not dash) quit working from corrosion in those holes. Yes you need to let it dry completely before use. It is easy to wash in the sink without the base. Read the manual.The griddle works great for our daily pancakes and bacon. I'd like to try hamburgers but worry about heating where there is no food to cook. I have several Dash products and they are durable and I do use them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleanup: AMAZING! Check out that photo! Size: big enough. My complaints are minimal and might not apply to everyone. First, it seemed to take forever to cook. I LOVE this griddle but the picture on the box inspired me to make fajitas and it took so long to cook the veggies. Second, the temperature control. I get that there is a temperature assigned to each number but do you think I’ll remember that? Do you think I’ll actually keep the booklet???? It’s just unrealistic. Finally, the crevice around the outside. It is VERY important to note that the black part does not get hot which is INCREDIBLE because I often cook in a sports bra but I’m also a messy cook and there is explicit to not get crumbs in between the griddle and the rim as it’s difficult to clean…which is annoying, because I know I will do that at some point.

Just received my Everyday Griddle today and after unpacking it is sitting on my counter waiting for me to make dinner! And I can's wait! I love the color, turquoise, very Mid-Century, which is the age of my home and kitchen. The griddle are is perfect while it is still very slim for storing. The non-stick is also perfect for eggs, pancakes, all breakfast foods and for hamburgers, grilled cheese and so much more. I am looking forward to a long cooking relationship with my griddle.

I like it! My husband wanted me to get a new griddle because the one we had did not have the heating element go through the center of the griddle just around the perimeter. the deluxe model of this griddle has the heating element go around the perimeter and in the center. It works great! We like this product a lot and received our new Dash toaster yesterday and it is amazing and tomorrow will receive our new popcorn popper! This company makes very quality products! Super useful I have used it to heat up several tortillas at once and Gordita’s as well so don’t only limit this product to cooking also think of it as a great way to reheat and it is easy to clean I would recommend using foil on greasy things

We really love this griddle in our household. I have three kids including two teenagers and it makes preparing food a lot faster. I appreciate the ease of cleanup and the easily accessible drip tray. I've had other big name griddles by other brands and clean up was messy and cumbersome. The slide out tray is a game changer. The griddle heats up evenly and is a good solid product.

It hasn’t gotten scratched, it cleans super easy without a residue that requires stronger soaps. It heats evenly and it’s a good size to do a whole breakfast and have it all hot at the same time!
