Great little blender

We upgraded from the Magic Bullet to the nutribullet 900 and it’s great! I like the bigger sized containers now that there are more mouths to feed. So far it has pulverized everything we put in there. No more frozen chunks in our smoothies! We haven’t tried anything crazy though, mostly frozen fruit, spinach, etc for smoothies. We specifically chose this blender because it works like the magic bullet, you can walk away from it while it’s blending, you don’t have to hold it down like I read other blenders require.

Love it ... but dies after exactly 1 yr

I bought 2 of the 900 series , loved the product and did not overuse it ... both died after 1 yr ... like a clock . I still like it and will buy a 3 rd one but i wish they fixed the short life , obviously something is not working properly. This is the reason i gave it 3 stars instead of 5.

Pretty good - could use accessories.

I received the NutriBullet as a birthday present this year. The machine itself works great but I was disappointed that the system did not include any sort of lid that fit directly onto the cups for travel. My previous Magic Bullet came with a lid like this and it made it extremely easy to make a smoothie, throw the lid on and take it to go. I am now having to transfer the smoothie to another cup with a lid, and end up cleaning up a lot more than I would otherwise.

Leaking Gear Oil

I use this blender primarily for making warm/hot ‘bullet proof’ type beverages once a day in the morning. After two months of almost daily use the under side of the blade component started leaking oil. While this does not make its way into the beverage, that I can see, smell or taste, it is unfortunate and will probably need replacing in a very short time.

Not possible to leave negative stars

DO NOT BUY!!! This product has numerous issues: lack of power, leaking a weird brown liquid, toxic odors after use. And today a brand new problem: instead of blending, it was actually just unscrewing the base so when I picked up the cup my smoothie went everywhere (and yes, I made sure that everything was screwed on properly and tightly before I tried to use this. I bought this in July and have had nothing but problems ever since. It's also not recommended to fully clean the blender after each use which seems disgusting to me. The rubber seal ring is removable, which means food can get underneath it. But it says in the manual it is not recommended that you remove it to clean. Buy literally any other blender.

Disappointed

I’ve only had this for about 6 months and this morning was the final run. It started smoking and I’m guessing the motor burned up. It’s been getting progressively louder - to the point that it hurt my ears! I had high hopes for this product but won’t be buying another one. Time to look for a new brand.

No signs of slowing down

Best blender I've ever owned. Serves my (relatively undemanding) needs and gets the job done. I'd like to look into more ways to use it as I'm sure I'm under utilizing it. Note: I'm a man with large hands and a strong grip, and even I have trouble getting the blade off after it blends--I can't imagine the struggle that a smaller, weaker person would have. It would be tricky for design purposes but if they could somehow engineer a rubberized grip into the base, that would improve it a lot.

Great product!

I love my nutribullet! I've had it for years and used it almost everyday and it still works great. I totally recommend it. The best thing is that its really easy to clean, just do it right away after each use. A piece of advice, don't fill it pass the line there's a reason why its there. Follow the instructions. If you fill pass the line its going to leak and that doesn't mean the product doesn't work! Happened to me a couple of times and cleaned it right away and still works great after years of use. I've used it to make smoothies, soups, salsas, even oatmeal flour.

Best product ever!!!

I purchased my NutriBullet January 2004 and use it almost every day. I sent in the warranty info after purchase. This month my bullet quit working. I called and spoke with representative. Very helpful, walking me through possible problems with my bullet. I received a new bullet motor within a week. Very thankful that I completed the warranty and for the representative who was very professional.

Handy Enough But HARD to clean

I've had mine for about 2yrs -- maybe 3, so it has a long life. But my main issue with it is that it is hard to clean. If I was blending something like celery, or any really fiberous or stringy vegetable or adding some kind or green powder to my smoothie, it was always really hard to clean the particles out of the grooves of the rim of the cup that screw into the blending lid or the to go lid, as well as the grooves in the to-go lid and gray part that housed the blending blades. It's hard to find anything short of a toothbrush --- and it would have to be a very stiff-bristled brush at that, to dislodge the food residue. And as I said, if the veggies/fruit were green, the gunk in the grooves was VERY apparent. No matter how well I cleaned or rinsed the parts out, I always felt that it wasn't clean enough and feared bacteria was growing in the grooves of the cup and the lip, so I added just a TAD of bleach to the water, and that didn't help as far as helping with the stains. Plus, after awhile, the sides of the cup started looking scratched as if I'd used a brillow pad to clean the inside of it, though I'd only ever used a sponge or washcloth. Now the entire cup looks dirty, even when it's clean. The area where the blades attach to the bottom of the gray plastic they're lodged in --- I can't tell if it's rust or just the accumulation of food residue that I could never completely wash off. Something needs to be altered with the design of the cup and lids so that food doesn't get stuck in the grooves so that bacteria can't grow in them. Also, more times than I can count, the lid would loosen while I was blending, even though I double-checked to make sure it was on tight before I turned the machine on, and liquid would leak out of the cup while I was doing something else as it was blending, and when I came back and turned off the machine and took the cup out of the housing base, there would be liquid that had seeped all down the holes at the bottom, and into the mechanism within the base and leak out the bottom. I'm surprised it's still running after all the times this has happened and has not caught on fire. So I give this an average rating for functionality --- in theory --- but the design desires something to be desired in terms of ease of cleaning and sanitary function.
