[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Classic Chardonnay turned out to be much fruitier than I typically expect from a Chardonnay, but that was a good thing. There was also a bit of an effervescence that came with the flavor when it first hit your tongue. This wine was one that you want to chill almost to frozen to enjoy the cooling sensation on a hot July day in South Carolina. I found it light in color with lots of punch. I would pair it with a light and cool dinner in the Carolinas.

It is light and crisp, perfect for sipping on a hot day or using to make sauces. It lacks the oaky quality that most chardonnay wines contain and what makes me typically not like chardonnay. The butter taste is also missing and replaced with a light, citric sweetness.

Just one of those easy ones that you can have to pair with most foods. What I serve it to a wine aficionado? Maybe not. But it’s a great thing to have in your refrigerator all the time.

Every sip was different and seemed to have a bit of a tangy aftertaste. Was sweet and dry at the same time. I'm not sure if I would purchase again.

Having a glass of this classic chardonnay by Robert Mondavi Private is just what I needed after a long, busy day. It's clean, but classic, taste is just too perfect and soothing. Highly recommended for chardonnay lovers!

I am more of a sweet fruity wine drinker. I ended up giving bottle to my mother. She loved it and said it was one of the better Chardonnays that she has had. I am glad I had a chance at trying but even happier I found someone who could enjoy it

I would recommend this wine to those looking for something on the drier side but bursting with flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Robert Mondavi sample pack from Ripple Street to try some of their Chardonnays. I also enjoy wine but am by no means any sort of connoisseur or aficionado. We had a few friends over to try the Classic Chardonnay. We found this to be fruitier in finish and stronger than the other ones. When I first tried it, "classic" was a very apt moniker--it tastes just like what I expect when I think Chardonnay. My partner found it a little sour and drier, which were good things, as this was by far his favorite (he's usually a red wine drinker). Overall, a very strong choice and a solid go to if you're looking for something absolutely unmistakably Chardonnay.
