Hulk, there could be a contributing factor to the wear on the tires. We recommend to take the vehicle to an authorized retailer in your area for an inspection. Utilize our Dealer Locator to find dealers in your area. Give us a call once the tires have been inspected and we will contact the dealer and get their findings to determine next steps.

Expensive but good for the value

I've had the Michelin Defender tires (Defender T+H for my sedan; LTX M/S for my SUV) on two different vehicles, and both sets impressed me right out of the gate. The first thing you notice is how quiet they are - road noise dropped immediately compared to my old set. Ride comfort also improved, especially on long highway drives. The grip is excellent in dry and wet conditions. Even during heavy rain, I felt in control, with minimal hydroplaning. Handling feels solid and predictable, especially on curvy roads. They're not cheap - but with the long life and consistent performance, they're more of an investment than a splurge. That said, if you don't plan to keep your vehicle long, cheaper tires might make more sense. The installation process was easy, it was just dropped off to the mechanic.

Shrinkflation

Manufactured with far less tread depth compared to the LTX M/S. And further sold as a benefit to mileage ect. This seems to be the classic percentile grab directly from your pocket. I have always purchased Michelin tires for towing and was very pleased with the LTX M/S durability, wear, mileage, noise. Why sell as a premium tire and give less for the money?

Disappointed

I recently bought a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires to replace a set of Michelin Latitude tires that came on my Grand Cherokee. The ride is much rougher with the Defender tires than the Latitude tires. The road noise is also higher with the Defender tires. I am disappointed with the Defender tires.

Only Michelin

Since I purchase my 1st Michelin tire in 1996 I have been totally impressed with the quality of all Michelin tires. I tell all my friends, colleagues and children buy Michelin tires just 1 time and you will never buy another brand of tire. The safety performance of Michelin tires is a great confidence builder, I really do feel safer with Michelin's on my vehicle so much I do not have to worry when my wife is out. Please keep up the great workmanship.

not very happy with the defender

I have purchase nothing but Michelin's for my 2001 mdx and 2005 tacoma. Always used the "lattitude tour" version and loved them. Probably went through a total of 5 or 6 sets. Now discontinued I went with the defender LTX on my tacoma. They are very noisy. I have to turn up my radeo at 35 MPH. yes, they handle great, but I can't stand the noise. Now my mom needs a set of tires for her 2013 avalanche and I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

LTX M/S LTX M/S 2 & tomorrow the Defender LTX M/S

I've been driving since 1983. I've driven a tremendous amount of miles for someone who doesn't make a living driving cargo. I've run the first 2 versions of this line on a Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and Ford F-150 4x4. These tires are amazing. They run noticeably smoother, quieter and longer than OEM tires. They are absolutely the best all purpose on road tire available in our Cleveland and Ohio climate. I know Michelin does not approve running tires too long and I never will again. but our last set, on the Tahoe, ran 117,000 miles when we sold the Tahoe at 260,000 miles. A friend purchased the vehicle and said the tires ran another 10,000 miles.
