The lights are great, but the installation process was horrendous. Although you pay Sam's Club, the install is through Angi. First of all, I wasn't provided with a choice of the date and time of install, I just received an email as to when the "professional" will be out. The "professional" that was sent out had reported he had never installed these lights and he watched You Tube videos. He brought out hand warmers to warm the adhesive and the soffit. That did not work. I had to get out my blow dryer. He arrived 15 minutes late, at 2:15 p.m. and it was supposed to be a 2 hour job. It gets dark around 4:00 p.m. Anyway, while he was a nice guy, he should never have been allowed to install the lights. I had to help him the entire time. If not, he would have left before they were finished being installed. He kept going through the extra adhesives, dropping the tiny screws and I had to help him the entire time. I was out in the rain, on the ground picking up screws, running for items, and literally helped him the entire time. He finished at 8:45 p.m. after I helped him the entire time in the rain and darkness! He called Angi to request additional hours. After he left, I had to call Angi to verify his hours. Then, Angi began sending me emails requesting additional money. I reached out to Sams Club immediately and I kept getting responses such as you're out of luck, this is an Angi problem, etc... As a long time customer of Sam's Club, one would think they would be more receptive to helping their customers with a problem install which was paid for through Sam's Club to Sam's Club. I didn't pay Angi, I paid Sam's Club for the install. It wasn't until tonight, when I received another call from Sam's Club pretty much informing me this is a problem with Angi. After several minutes on the phone with the representative, she finally reported this is a problem and the Sam's Club customers should not have ever had this type of experience. As a Sam's Club customer, I should not pay for an install and pretty much have to help the "professional" install the item and then be asked for additional money. I do not believe Angi truly vets the "professionals" as the "professional" informed me they just have to answer a few questions and then can accept jobs. He reported he had never installed them and looked up how to install on You Tube. Honestly, this is not a 1 person, 2 hour install. I'm very dissatisfied with Sam's response that it's not their problem when I paid Sam's Club for the install, not Angi. Plus, the "professional" reported he was only getting $60 for the install, so I did give him an additional $100. The representative I spoke with tonight did initially report there was nothing that could be done, until I explained in detail the experience. She then reported she would be speaking with her management. Buyer beware! Just because you buy the service from Sam's Club, doesn't mean they have your back!!! Very Disappointed!!
